“Positives: this is a gorgeous property which is even prettier IRL than the listing pics. We loved the views from every window, excellent floor plan, amazing kitchen, and beautiful bathrooms. Deck and hot tub were great. Central location to so many things in Ventura County. Neighbors are friendly. Negatives: we had no hot water when we arrived that evening, and it turns out the water heater had never been turned on. Frustrating that the host asked me to go outside in the dark and climb up a hill to fix it. Our bedding was also smelly/dirty, making my asthma act up until we washed it and vacuumed the floor. Hosts responded to my complaints with an apology, but didn’t go beyond that.”

“The location - access to beach and views of harbor - is stunning. The backyard patio/covered family area was our favorite part of the house. The listing is not explicitly clear that the upstairs and downstairs units are not connected and that guests sharing the space have to go out exterior door and in a different exterior door to visit with each other. Renters should be aware that there are 2 separate entrances - one just off the street - and no interior connection. Not great with young children. The house guide says there are 2 parking places out front. There are not, unless you have a very skinny car. Street parking was available. Maintenance issues: dishwasher in our unit was off its frame and unstable. The coffee maker did not work at all. Response to my email about these items was a generic "thank you for your feedback" with no action taken.”

“Great location and cozy little apartment”

“The space had an odor, this could have been from no guests being at the property for some time and extreme heat. When we arrived the house was smelly and stuffy. The house layout is nice, kitchen was clean and even no dishwasher that didn't bother us. What did bother us was the CONSTANT bathroom light going off at FULL BRIGHTNESS at any day or time triggered by a sensor. The master bedroom has MAJOR electrical issues, if you use any plugs it causes either the TV to turn off or the fan you need to run, or anything you have plugged in. The bathrooms were clean, the showers however have about 3 minutes of hot water with terrible water pressure. If you have more than 2 guests in this home, you better shower FAST, or else there is no hot water in the entire home for hours. A hot shower should be the minimum in hospitality. I would not return to this property or stay here until the items above are fixed!”
