Blueground in San Mateo, California

“So, the good... they had availability last minute and accept pets. They communicated well during the booking process. There are add ons - parking, cleaning - which bump the price up. The less good... this is not a typical airbnb experience, you are dealing with a company who rent a lot of places. The place we were in was soulless and had no character. And didn't seemed liked anyone who cared about it had ever lived there. There was a bright street light outside the bedroom and the blinds were completely inadequate to hide the light. While they are responsive to messages, actually doing anything takes days. We paid for the cleaning service and the cleaners never turned up on the booked day and it took multiple round trips of messages to get them to turn up. We saw a mouse in the apartment and it took many days for someone to come round and investigate. If your desperate then this place works, but would not recommend.”

“Schooner Bay Apts in Foster City, CA was our home for a month. We put our furniture in storage & decided to rent a furnished apt while searching for something to which we wanted to commit. Found this listing on a couple of online sites but decided to go w/Airbnb for the added layer of security. Checkin was easy bc of the detailed intro video. We had a welcome pkg w/dish soap, hand soap, and laundry detergent from Public Goods. Apt was clean, had a well-appointed kitchen, and nicely furnished. It had portable AC units in 2 bedrooms, w/comfy beds. They were kind, professional, and responsive to our few concerns/questions. My only “complaint” is that Schooner Bay is older and could’ve used a little more love, but that’s not on Blueground. Also I would’ve appreciated if the stairways were swept of dirt and debris, and cobwebs removed regularly. It’s right off the Belmont Slough, along SF Bay Trail. It’s serene and picturesque. FYI, the birds will poop on your car. Overall, a great stay!”

“The staff at Blueground is very responsive, accommodating, friendly and professional. They made our stay very easy and relaxed. The unit was showing some age but still very comfortable and nice. Location was ideal for us. We especially appreciated that it was a 2 bed 2 bath configuration. That made life so much easier for us. Kitchen was well appointed and served us really well. All in all, our stay was pleasant and lived up to our expectations and needs. Thank you Blueground! Until the next time!”

“This place was perfect for a prolonged stay. It exceeded my expectations. The space was HUGE. And very nicely decorated. And it' hard to beat the location: the apartment is located right off of the 101. Would highly recommend this property and Blueground in general.”
