“This is a great, comfortable and spacious cabin, but I agree with previous reviewers about problems with the TV connection, and a lack of cleanliness and maintenance in certain areas. (It's a pet friendly cabin.) I'd messaged the mgmt co days prior to our arrival, which to their credit always responds quickly, to ask that these issues be resolved before our stay, but they weren't, sadly. The TV wasn't usable until our third day there since a new Roku stick had to be ordered and delivered to the cabin for us to set up ourselves. Big Bear Lake is a beautiful area to explore and you can have a very nice stay in this cabin, just read the other reviews to be fully informed. We did find the king bed to be really soft and comfortable, the shower to be hot with good flow, and the kitchen to be well-stocked and with nice newer appliances. The bath towels were fine, but the paper and bath products (pink in color / smelled like bubble gum) are low quality, so bring your own if you're particular.”

“We enjoyed our stay at the Cozy Owl Lodge. Overall I would recommend it. The driveway is as steep and narrow as they say, so keep that in mind. The space was very clean, beautiful view, looks just like the pictures. It had some nice, modern touches. We found it very peaceful there. The bed in the primary bedroom was very comfortable (we didn’t use the others). The location was great, just a short drive to town. I paid $60 extra for late check out. When I got the arrival text it had the standard 10am checkout. I asked to verify our 1pm checkout and was told yes. However, at 10:30am while we were trying to have a lazy, romantic morning in bed we heard a knock at the door which was the cleaner. We dressed quickly and he was polite about saying he would check with his manager and come back. Better than some of the other reviews I’ve read about checkout. Seemed like poor communication. We enjoyed the hot tub but it was hard to manage, knobs came off in our hand and wouldn’t turn off.”

“Place was easy to find, and fast response to any questions I had. House would have been great, but the house as soon as we came in was like a sauna. It’s a 3 story house and in summer gets very hot. They only provided ONE portable AC and ONE fan for the entire 3 story house. The fan blows hot air and the portable AC does not cool down a room let alone a whole 3 story house. It was so hot and uncomfortable to sleep. Some windows didn’t have screens so we can’t even open them because we don’t want any bugs inside. They really need to fix that. They have central AC but turn it off for guests. At least get a fan and portable AC for each floor if you don’t want the guests to use central AC. Thankfully we just stayed for one night, it was the worst. Would not go back. The house was dusty when we came in, and there was bottles and a sock under one of the beds, plus a stain on the toilet. Which made it feel like it wasn’t cleaned.”
