“Unfortunately, our check-in experience was very disappointing. We were told that the entry code would be sent after 4:00 PM, but we never received it. When we arrived around 7:00 PM, we realized that we still had no code and immediately contacted the host. However, we could not reach them, and even the voicemail was full. We eventually contacted Airbnb Support, who also tried to reach the host. We were even advised to consider canceling the reservation and finding another place to stay. Just as we were trying to decide what to do, the host finally sent the code and we were able to enter. It took more than an hour from the time we arrived until we could get inside. This was the first time I have had such a difficult check-in experience with Airbnb. What was particularly disappointing was that the host sent the code without any apology or explanation. The accommodation itself was average, but the check-in experience was extremely stressful and disappointing.”

“Although I was grateful for the host's ability to respond quickly, the listing is inaccurate compared to the actual building. The listing states luxury, however the building is very old and does not represent the luxury stay I believed that I paid for. Also the demographic in the area looks a bit suspicious. If you're looking to pay for Luxury, this is not the place to stay.”

“We had notified the host in advance that we would be arriving after midnight. Did not receive a response. The check-in instructions provided a code that allowed us into the building, however there was no code provided for the apartment itself. We reached out to the host and but received no response. Called Airbnb support while on the phone with support, a sleepy person opened the apartment door and told us that he lived there. Airbnb canceled our reservation and approved a refund and a reimbursement credit for a hotel for that night. Had to seek out alternative accommodations at 1:30 in the morning.”
