“Our stay on the old Zanotti Dairy Farm property was peaceful & convenient. It's hard to find locations adjacent to the Redwood Park. This one really gave a flavor of the place. The history of Orick is interesting and the Zanotti Dairy Farm is an important actor in that history. The Christmas Flood of 1964 shaped the region in many ways. Staying on this property & reading about it felt surreal. The house itself feels like a throwback to old handbuilt farmhouses. A woodburning fireplace in the living room, the front porch, the kitchen overlooking the cow pasture. It was rustic but comfortable with modern touches. The wildlife was also a surprise. Large flocks of Elk descend from the Redwood forests to the meadows every morning & evening, sometimes obscured by a misty fog that seems out of a movie. The birdwatching is also fun. We didn't use the garage turned into a game room but I could imagine it being fun for a family. A refreshing change from typical AI normalized AirBnB furnishings.”

“Very good location for exploring the Redwoods and nearby beaches. The house has more space than I expected so my family had plenty of room. Kids loved the game room and bunk room. Can't beat waking up to so many elk, cow, and birds either. As other reviews have said, there isn't much around in the way of food and groceries, so make sure you're stocked up before arriving. If you are, there is a large kitchen with everything you need to prepare meals.”

“This home is such a hidden gem. The garden is stunning and the views of the mountain valley and ocean from the deck are incredible. The bed was very comfortable compared to other homes we've stayed in. The most incredible home base for a week of hiking the redwoods.”
