Cozy Homes in Marina Del Rey, California

“The location is NOT as advertised - it’s a 12-15 min walk to the beach. I chose this unit based on its name (“5 min to Venice Beach”) and general position on the map (along Washington Ave). This was confirmed by the address provided right after booking. However, during check in, the host messaged me with a completely different address, an 8 min walk away. Their only response to this was “Airbnb shows the main building; we are in building 4”. Why was it listed with the wrong location? And why wait until check-in day to tell me? 12 minutes is not a terrible walk, of course, but the dishonesty is frustrating. The unit itself is just ok; safe, spacious and fairly clean but generally drab and missing some important items: tissues, drawers, luggage stands (since no drawers), salt/pepper, kitchen towels, rugs. Bedroom lighting is dim. The parking spot is small and against a wall - the car can only be exited from one side once parked. An ok but disappointing stay. Know what you are getting!”

“The stay was amazing. The rooms and bathrooms were neat and tidy. All the facilities listed were available. The location of the stay is an added advantage as it is very close to the beach. The only negative was that the dryer was not working, and even after informing the host, it was not fixed. Apart from that, I would highly recommend this studio.”

“It was a nice place to stay but there are no drawers in the entire place to put away clothes. We had to keep them in our luggage or hang them in the closet. (Not ideal for pjs and things). It could use more lighting as it was quite dim throughout even with the lamps on. It was quiet which contributed to great working conditions but it was uncomfortable since I couldn’t work on the desk in the King bedroom because the tv covered the entire desk. And, there was no other place to set up my lap top or writing materials except the dining room table in the common area, which was not ideal when sharing the space with others. Other than that, great location and I would definitely stay again even with the limitations.”
