La Jolla Vacation Rentals's guest rating in California of 4.71 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract. “Amazing view.. like breathtaking! Everything was updated with great bathrooms and a well equipped kitchen. Top of the line. Lots of great outdoor seating areas including a rooftop with cozy couches and a great place to catch a sunset. It is a new construction so some small kinks could be worked out.. Two of the three bedrooms had sheer curtains only, so it was very bright in the morning. They could use blinds. FYI..the house is on a very steep hill (but that is what makes the view spectacular). The beds were super comfy and with clean bedding. For a luxury home and the price we paid, we felt like they did not need to charge us for an early check in (we requested it by an hour), and there was a surcharge for a high chair. There was no mirror in the master bathroom which was odd. The walls could use a touch up of paint. The house is within walking distance (up and down a hill), to the port, restaurants, coffee shops and a supermarket. I would stay in this home again.”

“Great location, beautiful home. Only drawback was lack of AC made sleeping at night pretty hot.”

“Of the many Airbnbs I’ve stayed at, this is probably the hardest to judge. Overall, I loved it. But to give it five stars would be unfair to other apartments I've stayed in that were even better. There were definitely lots of good things: I wanted somewhere with a sunny terrace, that had sea views, in a quiet location, and with easy access to public transit and a supermarket - and it had all those. But it was also a bit tired - for example, the main bathroom and the otherwise excellent rooftop terrace. And, given the mosquitos (and how nice it would have been to have a through breeze and hear the ocean), I agree with a previous reviewer that it was a shame that there was no netting on the French windows in the main bedroom. But I would almost certainly stay there again if I returned to San Diego, especially now that I would be prepared for its small weaknesses!”

“We knew the listing had no AC, but the temperature inside was completely unbearable. We checked in Wednesday to a closed-up house with no fans running and only one box fan. We couldn’t spend time there, so we stayed out until bedtime, when it was still difficult to sleep. Management offered a portable AC and fans without mentioning a fee. After we accepted, they said the AC would cost $150. They eventually provided it at no charge, but only after repeated back-and-forth, and it didn’t arrive until Friday evening. The TV never worked, despite a promise to repair or replace it. The advertised beach chairs and umbrella were missing and never provided. We checked out with both issues unresolved. Communication and customer service were poor throughout. I spent more of my vacation going back and forth with management than enjoying it. This stay was deeply disappointing, and I would not book another property managed by this company.”
