Grand Welcome in Homewood, California

“We had a great stay here - much better than expected. The place was very clean, bigger than expected and well equipped. We cooked all meals at home. Beds were comfortable and large. The master bedroom bed could indeed use a topper but it was ok. We felt very comfortable in the house and this area is amazing. The only thing I’d pick on is lack of flexibility on the check in and check out - 10am is kind of early when you bring a lot of stuff for a week’s stay. All in all, I would definitely stay here again”

“After reflecting on our stay, we loved the location right on the water, and while the home was nice, we did have a few issues. For a home for 10 people, there was not enough stocked essentials such as paper towels, toilet paper, dish soap, and countertop cleaner. We had to go and purchase all of those items including a dust pan to be able to sweep. I would also recommend bringing your own towels for bathing. The home is part of a community of 6 homes with shared parking and outdoor spaces, so on a holiday weekend, expect lots of neighbors with little privacy. Overall, we enjoyed our time, just would have liked to know what we needed to bring to properly maintain the home.”

“This home was in the perfect location as we were visiting family and the cabin was less than 5 minutes from our relatives home. The home was clean and there was ample space to spread out. The bed in the master bedroom was very firm and I would suggest a mattress topper as the other beds seemed to have them. We had a cold evening and the instructions for the living room unit could have been more clear as we were unable to get it to work but the electric fireplaces kept the rooms warm. When we arrived there were bungee cords across both doors and when I asked about that we were instructed to keep the cords on both in and outside and “to make sure the bear wiring system was on”. To be clear, the cords on the doors were only cords, they were not attached to any wiring system and you could have picked the cords up at the hardware store for $2 a piece. We are very familiar with the bears and I don’t know who thinks that those cords are going to keep the bears out.”

“The cabin in Tahoe pines rented by grand welcome was great. It is a very clean and charming accommodation. The place was squeaky clean and easy to check in. I highly recommend this cabin and grand welcome for anyone looking for a Tahoe vacation.”
