The good: location, parking, the view and beds were comfortable Why I wouldn’t book again: The HOA clearly doesn’t like renters and felt we were constantly micromanaged. Unfortunately the property management isn’t onsite and has to report every HOA concern. Example is if the lawn chair isn’t in the exact placement. It was constant. The kitchen is sparse…four wine glasses, a couple pans, no cookware, toaster, etc. we had multiple issues - dirty bathrooms, broken doors, etc. Skunk lives on property - we reported several times and never addressed and therefore couldn’t enjoy evenings outside the majority of the month. Even if those things didn’t happen, it wouldn’t fix the HOA. They are not Airbnb friendly and also the skunk :)

We can’t say enough about our stay! The views overlooking the cliffs to the ocean where breathtaking. We loved watching the dolphins, surfers and sunsets each day. The unit is in a friendly and quiet community which felt like home right away. We loved it was in walking distance to the beaches, 101 restaurants(so many good options for vegans like us), coffee shops, …everything we hardly used our car! The management team was fantastic they were incredibly fast to respond and helped with anything that came up. The place itself was beautiful, open and bright with plenty of room for all four of us without feeling crowded. An extra bonus was that both bathrooms were en suite and having a parking spot in the garage! Our group was sad to leave and would love to visit Encinitas and Sealane again soon!

The Coastal Project was super responsive and organized. We had a small issue with primary suite sink and they fixed the same day. Impressive. The house might need a little TLC here and and there, but is in generally good condition with good amenities. The location is so great. We were inside the house less than we were on the back deck (no umbrella, but there is a small overhang) and at the local beaches. Hope to stay here again with the rest of my family one day soon. Driveway parking was great!

Took my wife and two toddler boys here for a week and absolutely plan on returning… for what it’s worth - I’m not a big “post a review” person - I’ve maybe written 5 online reviews in my life. Most things are not worth reviewing. This place is the exception. We booked this place for the view, but the interior far exceeded our expectations (matched the view). And for the exterior - that’s a (multi)million $ view if I’ve ever seen one. Where else can you stay in Encinitas, within a mile walk of 3 popular beaches + restaurants + fantastic parks, for a reasonable price? You simply can’t. I can’t say enough about this property, there isn’t a single thing I wouldn’t give a 5 star rating to. Well done Coastal Project. In the words of your former governor, “I’ll be back”
