“Stacey was communicative and responsive throughout our messaging, which we appreciated. However, our overall experience regarding flexibility was disappointing. Well in advance of our stay, we requested to reschedule our booking due to active wildfire risks in the area. We were informed that dates would only be changed or canceled if conditions became extremely dangerous closer to the check-in date. We reached out again, even offering to pay an additional fee to move our dates, but our request was declined. While we appreciate the clear communication, it’s a pity hosts lose repeat guests this way, as we would have loved to come back again under better circumstances.”
