So many beautiful redwoods around and in close proximity of the Armstrong Redwoods State park and several coastal beaches. The restaurants in town were great! Cannot wait to come back and visit again!”

“This is a fantastic home nestled amongst the redwoods. It's a 5 minute walk to the beach and river front. Next time we hope to use the provided kayaks to explore the area more! It's full of thoughtful touches including well appointed kitchen and bathroom amenities, and good quality beds and linens. We loved sitting in the hot tub and staring up at the redwood trees.”

“The pictures just don’t do this stay justice. We were so impressed by how clean, spacious and thoughtful this Airbnb was! We are a family of 9 (5 adults, 4 kids). Really needed two separate rooms for the older kids and a room for grandma. Initially worried about the stairs but it all just worked out so perfectly. Everyone had their own space, the multiple fireplaces really elevated our stay and made the home extra cozy and perfect for cold mornings and nights. Plenty of space to cook, store food in the kitchen. Really appreciated the grill outside. Kids loved the hot tub and outdoor fire pit for s’mores. Beautiful view of the ocean from the living room when the fog cleared in the morning. Extremely quiet neighborhood. 30 mins from Santa Rosa, a few cute towns nearby. And 1 hour from all of our activities (Safari West, Castella di Amorosa, Redwoods). 10000% recommend.”

“We had a very lovely stay at the Little Red House. It’s such an inviting and comforting space. My husband and I came with our two small kids and little dog, and all of us enjoyed the house as well as the outdoor space, including grilling and eating outside, using the hot tub, and roasting s’mores over the fire pit. The kitchen is well-stocked for cooking. The house was VERY clean. The only downside is the lack of counter space in the bathroom. I have a lot of toiletries/skincare products and there is a sink but no counter. However, I just went into the smaller bedroom where there was a vanity, so that was an easy fix. We definitely recommend the Little Red House, especially for a family with kids and pets and during the warmer months when you can take advantage of the yard.”

“There’s a lot of great about the place. Everything (bbq, fire pit, hot tub) works, which can be a rarity for an air bnb. Hugest television I’ve ever seen. Clean and comfy. Well stocked. Only two complaints, but they’re significant: 1. No water/ice on the fridge, so we had to buy our own. 2. No screens on any of the windows. This boggles my mind. It was unseasonably warm when we were there so we opened up the windows for air flow (no A/C, but that’s to be expected) but within 5 minutes had to close them again because we were inundated with bees. Owner was communicative and responsive. We’d come back, but highly advise addressing those two concerns.”

“We have stayed here before and made it an annual family trip, but this year was very disappointing. The main reason people pay a premium is the riverfront location and direct water access. The dock has now been removed, leaving a steep drop to the river and a sign directing guests to a public beach instead. This material change was not clearly communicated to us as returning guests. Mgmt blamed low water levels, although nearby homes still had docks, and their response felt generic and dismissive. We also noticed mold in the bathrooms. The check-in and checkout process was frustrating: we were not allowed in 30 minutes early, but a car arrived right at 11:00 a.m. to monitor our departure. Signs throughout the house listed constant rules, including not taking beach towels to the beach. Overall, the property feels like it is declining while management focuses on rules, cost-cutting, and maximizing revenue rather than the guest experience. It is no longer worth the premium.”
