“The pictures do not do the place justice. It is very nice and very spacious, kind of in an old school way. Nice furnishings and fixtures throughout. Everything was great and the only hiccup was we found out the oven wasn't working on the last night of our stay. We did notify agency, but had to pivot to using the grill. It is an electric stove and oven and it seemed like a switch issue. Stuff happens. No compensation offered, but it wasn't a big deal. Would definitely stay there again.”

“Overall was a good stay - quiet, pleasant location. Easy to access hiking trails and Carmel Valley Village. About 25 mins to Carmel-by-the-Sea. Very nice location to explore Carmel. House is well-maintained and charming and well stocked with what you need. Be aware that the house is very close to the owner's residence and within view from many locations (also no drapes on many of the windows which gives a bit of a fishbowl feeling at night). The house doesn't feel like a professional rental (lots of family photos around, etc). Hot tub wasn't working when we arrived and there were bugs and debris in the water - not sure it ever got fixed since there wasn't great communication on it. Overall a good stay and seemed like good value for the area, but those few things could have been better.”
