“Amazing location, house is older . But can’t beat the views. Wish the BBQ and outdoor dining table were in the back so you could see the water. But outside of that we would 100% stay again.”

“The home is older and needs some TLC. Several things did not work properly and the property managers were not very quick to respond and resolve. The location and ocean view is amazing otherwise.”

“This is my second time spending Jan-Feb in North County. Pros: Beautiful view, easy access to ocean, living room is nice and comfortable. The block is also very quiet and the there is no public parking on the house's side of the street so its more private. Easy drive or long walk to Carlsbad downtown or Encinitas. Cons: Heat: As another guest mentioned, there is no heat in 4 of the rooms and it gets quite cold in the winter. Cleanliness: Overall somethings are very clean, but most cabinets are dirty and lots of stray long hairs. Kitchen sink is stained cracked and old. Kitchen cabinets are old and falling apart. Bathrooms are very old (one didn't work during our visit). Roaches: In the primary bed and den. Gardener doesn't come to clean up (at other stays they would come ever week or so).”

“Unbelievable location! Spacious home and layout for two couples or traveling with family. The property is very comfortable. Carlsbad is an awesome town and it was wonderful to take walks on the beach every day.”

“The location and the management company were great! 1.5 stars each for management and location. The house, however, needs work. It's old. It had everything necessary for our stay, but the heat only works in half of the house. The kitchen cupboards don't all close, and the drawers and cupboard doors are old. The Barn-Style door and front doors are pretty used. The whole house needs some serious TLC and complete renewal. Beware, there's no shade in the backyard when the sun comes around/over. If you're sun-sensitive, you'll need to go inside. Otherwise, beach access is great! The tide pools are nice, and you walk for miles at low tide if you go south.”
