URelax Vacation Rentals in Baywood-Los Osos, California

“The first thing is the view… nothing but water and Morro Rock outside the window. It brought our city blood pressure down just gazing outside. I also loved the up-close-and-personal sight of so many beautiful shore birds. It was a little cloudy most days, but that didn’t detract. In fact, after the heat of L.A., the cool weather was a godsend. The house itself is a teeny bit funky but functional, no complaints. The kitchen is more fully stocked with pots, pans, dishes, utensils, etc. than mine at home. The house is also unique because all the family stuff is still out and around. This is no sterile rental, this was a family’s cherished home, and you get the feeling that they all still meet up there on the holidays. There are a couple of books about the family (Harry Brown, WWI flying ace!) and the house’s history. We were so relaxed there that we honestly didn’t want to leave. We also loved Los Osos itself: High St. Deli, 2nd Street Cafe, the coffee spot, Merea’s lovely shop. Loved it.”

“Here is my review of this Los Osos home and the surrounding area. The house is not new or modern, but the kitchen and bathrooms have been renewed. What this place has is location and location – it is right on the bayshore with large panoramic windows looking out at an unobstructed view of Moro Bay and the rock. You could sit for hours just looking out the window and watching the scenery slowly change. It’s a few steps to the shoreline and you can walk around it in low tide, but it’s muddy. Be prepared. If you are coming to just quietly hang out and relax and enjoy the view, this is a place. There is ample seating area and deck space and the property is extremely well equipped with kitchen equipment and even cocktail wear. Everything is very clean, the beds and couches are comfortable and the ick factor is zero. There are lots of interesting books I wish I had time to look at. I spent my extra time in a corner leather chair where you are surrounded by glass and basically outside exce”

“We had a wonderful stay overall. The location is fantastic, and the views - especially the sunsets were absolutely beautiful. The home itself was comfortable and made for a very relaxing trip. The only issue we encountered was with the bathrooms. The water temperature was difficult to regulate (it would swing between too hot and too cold), and the water pressure was a bit low. Aside from that, everything else was great, and we really enjoyed our time here”
