Horrible beds, all of them. They look okay in the photos, but the beds are so old and wobbly—all four of them. The bed sheets were not clean. We felt like we were using the same bed sheets that previous guests had used. There was hair in the beds and on the pillows. Disgusting. We were two couples and two kids. Our bedroom door would not close properly because there was a problem with the door, so we did not have any privacy. The first night, we wanted to grill steak and were ready to cook. At 8:30 PM, we found out that there was no propane gas tank. I called Vacasa, but the host's automated message said to call between 8 AM and 5 PM. I called the next morning, and the person who answered the phone was very rude. There was no apology. We finally received the propane tank in the afternoon on the second day. There were no spices, no salt, no pepper, no cooking oil, and not enough frying pans. Bring everything from home if you want to cook your own meals. The gas stove is very old&slow

The location is excellent, but the home itself needs better maintenance. The advertised AC only cooled certain areas, leaving the kitchen uncomfortable, and one bedroom’s bed was undersized, slanted, and uncomfortable. I also found chips and sand under the couch cushions and spiderwebs around the windows. Although the sheets were clean, the overall condition felt neglected. The biggest issue was Vacasa’s poor communication. I reported problems with the AC and Wi-Fi on the first day, but the suggested Wi-Fi network and router could not be found. I also requested additional fans but received no timely response. Vacasa did not follow up until the third night, incorrectly claiming my voicemail was full. By then, only three days remained. The AC and TV eventually worked, but the experience was already frustrating. I would consider booking the home again under a different host. With repairs, better maintenance, reliable Wi-Fi and AC, and responsive management, it could become a great stay.

We have stayed at alot of lakefront homes at bass lake and this house is one of our favorites. Feels like home. Down side is the cleaning. my 11 yr old son grabbed what he thought was his shirt from under bed, turns out they were dirty/soiled womens underwear. We wondered how clean the house really was. Trash cans were full from previous renters. They were tipped over by animals into driveway, we had to clean up and take our own trash down the road because the cans were full.

This home should not be summer rental; it is not equipped with air conditioning and all curtains are sheer. Internal temps inside the house for our stay were high 80’s to low 90’s. There was no escape from the heat, sleeping was almost impossible, we felt sick. We were unable to use the entire upstairs due to even higher temps. We were forced to sleep unsafely with the windows open leaving us exposed to human and animal intruders even though our check-in info warned of active/recent bear sightings. We contacted the owner asking help in the form of a portable cooling unit and they declined to help. We were willing to ignore the other issues such as black hair in the bed (we are blonde), ants in the kitchen, dirty pans, dirty/aged furniture, spider webs everywhere, the unusable patio due to sun aged chairs that weren’t safe to sit in, if we could just have relief from the heat. Help or any sort of refund was rejected by the owner. Would not recommend this rental.

We arrived and the place was dusty/dirty, stains on everything even a lampshade. Shabby furniture, ripped screens, scratched/dented furniture. It’s described as a ‘cozy cabin’ instead there were spider webs and it looked like no one had stayed there in a long time. Sleeping did not feel safe because of bugs and spiders. We never stayed there. We went to the Pines and rented a room. Vacasa did not help us. We asked to be moved they said no. It took them 15 hours to respond when we asked to be moved. Then ABB did not help either. They refunded $300. That’s it. There’s absolutely no standard.
