Vacasa in Arnold, California

“Would’ve been a great place to stay honestly, however Vacasa kept “escalating” my issue of not having hot water. We couldn’t shower since the water was freezing cold. They sent someone to fix it, but then said it couldn’t be fixed and left us. Refunded us a measly $200 for three nights of no hot water, and just gave us automated responses like “oh no we’re so sorry you have no hot water…anyway nothing we could do.” Ended up having to drive to the closest truck stop each night 1 hour and 30 minutes away. I tried asking for more compensation but they refused and ignored me. I personally won’t be staying at another Vacasa owned property in case anything goes wrong since they will just leave you to figure it out on your own. Won’t lie though, if they didn’t screw me over completely it would’ve been a very nice cabin for a small group.”

“We booked a last minute trip to Arnold, and we could not have picked a better spot to spend our weekend. This stay was only 7 minutes away from all the main centers in town, every other amenity you could ask for was well within drivable distance no more than a 7 to 10 minute drive. The location of our stay was hidden in a very peaceful and scenic spot. It had more than enough space for my wife and my pets.”

“My wife, daughter and two dogs absolutely loved our stay. It was everything as advertised and more. Peaceful and serene. Centrally located to many attractions and areas of interest. We’ll definitely be back again and would recommend it to others.”

“Showed up after a long drive and the place was already occupied by someone. The door wouldn’t open, there was no cell signal and after contacting the host and Airbnb, they wanted me to prove that I couldn’t get into the place. I had to take videos and photos of the car already parked inside, the door not opening since it was physically latched from inside, pictures of a cat that was inside. Neither Airbnb, nor the host were helpful as I was stranded after a long drive and they wanted to take hours to have a convo and review about the proof of how I couldn’t get into the place. This is also after I was asking if I could come in early and was told no cause housekeeping needed time to clean. How could they clean when someone was living there.”
