“The kitchen supplies are limited (2 small egg pans), so if you are hoping to cook at this location consider taking your own cooking items. Also wish there were throw blankets as it was a little chilly but the only blankets in the home were the comforters on the beds. Was a comfortable space and walkable location. Myself and my friend had to check out early due to an emergency but wish we could’ve enjoyed the property for longer. Hot tub and back yard looked lovely. Thanks for hosting!”

“This place met our expectations. We slept well. Very short walk to the beautiful Arcata Community forest! Short drive to downtown Arcata. The steepish road in front of the house had more traffic than expected, but wasn’t that big of a deal! The cottage is on the property of the owners who live across the driveway. We met the owner when we checked out. Very sweet! Didn’t see anyone the entire time we stayed. Really a lovely spot! Would stay again!”

“We had an enjoyable stay. There is everything that you need. The property was welcoming and check in was easy. Communication was quick and the host remained responsive. The property is located RIGHT off the highway, which allowed for easy travel, but was noisy. I’m from a big city, so it didn’t bother me, but may be an issue if you’re hoping for something quiet. The property also has NO AC. I returned from a long and hot hike with two kiddos and came back to a VERY hot 83 degrees. We had to keep the windows open and endure highway noise the remainder of our trip to keep comfortable. The water pressure in the shower was less than ideal but we made do. Nothing fancy, but overall a good stay and was fair for the $$.”
