“What a fantastic place! Huge house, HUGE yard with blackberry bushes and 2 apple trees. Several seating spaces outside, rocking chairs, Adirondack and hanging chairs on beautiful deck. Amazing, private hot-tub next to peaceful pond with fish. Nicely updated bathroom with heated floors, a bonus bathroom in the primary suite and comfy beds. Great, clean space, comfy living room, great dining area and kitchen. Desk with monitor in 1 of the bedrooms and great wifi made working from there very easy. Very accommodating and communicative hosts. Already recommended to family and hope to stay here again!”

“great stay! Situated right on the edge of town, this home was easy to find, with a dandy little grocery store 3 minutes away, yet it backed onto a magical redwood forest. Fantastic! The home was both small and spacious (perfect for just us two), extremely clean, well stocked, and well managed. Recommend!”

“Bigfoot Hideaway was the perfect airbnb for my closest friends and family for my wedding weekend. From chatting and drinking coffee in the large kitchen, to staying warm at the firepit with the complimentary s'mores, there was fun to be had in every corner of the house. The rooms were exactly as pictured and everyone was spacious. The master suite was exquisite. The redwood forest views from every window were stunning. The perk of being able to bring our Labrador Daisy was the cherry on top to a wonderful airbnb. While it is secluded and nestled in the forests of Fieldbrook, it is a short 15min drive to Arcata and approx 30min to the heart of Eureka. Far enough away for a getaway but close enough to all the amenities you need. I highly reccommend this property. Thank you so much, from all my friends and family, for a wonderful stay.”

“We had the absolute best stay! The location is unbeatable—we loved being able to walk to almost everything, from our morning coffee to delicious dinners. “This was the perfect size for my bridal party to stay at, with room to get ready and spread out in the morning. Our only complaint was that it was extremely hard to see the numbers on the fence at the turn even with the information of taking it slow coming down Myrtle road, and we’re locals. Would love to see those in black or lit up in the future, we felt they were hard to spot against the color of the fence boards, especially at night. We loved the location as it was easy to get to both Eureka and Arcata from the bnb. My wedding was at Mitchell Grove and it was less than 10 minutes from the bnb which was convenient for us to run back and forth. Thank you for clear communication and plenty of information from the hosts. I would love the opportunity to stay here again. Thank you! As a local it’ll be a recommendation for any future guests coming our way!”
