“Quiet neighborhood, close to downtown, nice decor with real vintage furniture, and a well-kept outdoor space. Hosts were prompt when issues came up. However, our 6-week stay had major problems: weak water pressure and backed-up bathroom drains. AC ran nonstop but stayed at 83°F. Later the washer leaked onto the laundry floor. Hosts sent plumbers/HVAC quickly, but service people were in and out for days. The HVAC tech said the unit was likely undersized with poor insulation. The house was also in desperate need of a deep clean. Grimy light switches, door knobs and baseboards, crumbs and spills in all the cabinets and drawers. After weeks at 82-84° inside the house, we asked for a portable AC unit. Hosts said they'd check with the owner, then just sent tower fans that didn't help. We've stayed in PS this time of year many times; other rentals handle the heat fine. Worst of all: in 6 weeks, hosts never once checked in on us. We won't be back. Hope future guests enjoy our deep cleaning.”
