“The listing photos are stunning, but this is a classic "dress a pig in pearls" situation. The house is old, cheap, and deeply dated beneath the decor. Cleanliness and Maintenance were unacceptable. We found dried mucus on the wall (cleaned immediately upon request), encountered a minor pest issue , and the tubs clogged instantly (no bath mats provided). The mattresses were horribly uncomfortable, and the host's towels felt unsanitary. The kitchen was not stocked for long-term stay (hosts corrected). The equipment was poor: the sink is battered, the dishwasher interior, RUSTY, and the coffee pot had mold (hosts purchased a new one). The backyard was unusable. A wasp issue made being outside, and swimming, impossible. We also felt unsafe—the sketchy neighborhood included eyesore cars constantly parked in front of house and we heard GUNSHOTS. The owners charged unsubstantiated, daily utility rates, including dates outside our stay despite the listing promising charges based on actual usag”

“User beware. Took us a couple hours after check in time to get in. AC was off and then we saw pool was green. The interior was beautiful and everything was clean. Could use some more pots and pans and bath towels. Host was good at getting g back quickly and was friendly.”
