“We enjoyed the cabin and the location being only 10 mins drive from downtown Seward shops and restaurants and about 15 minutes from Exit Glacier. However, the cabin is very bare bones, so going in with that expectation will be helpful! Cleanliness was also an issue. The host was responsive in that it could’ve been addressed during our stay but given our short stay we made do. The plumbing is pretty poor, one bed is extremely creaky, and only one outdoor chair was provided so we had to use an indoor chair for our evening fires. We also had to obtain basics like firewood and a lighter. Overall, we were happy with the location and cabin vibes as well as the portable heaters because it did get cold in the cabin at night. Just wish it had a bit more amenities and cleanliness.”

“Good place but the price is a bit steep for the place”

“Do you like hot water when you shower? If so, this place may not be for you. The host’s instructions say to run the kitchen faucet for at least 10 minutes to get water hot. We followed those instructions, but had unreliable hot water throughout our 4-day stay. We reported the problem twice, and the host’s assistant eventually came by and confirmed the water was not hot. We were then blamed for not reporting it sooner, despite having already reported it and following the host’s instructions about the old pipes. We were on vacation. Repeatedly troubleshooting and reporting the rental’s hot-water problem should not have been our responsibility. The place itself is cute, but unreliable hot water for four days is a deal breaker. No amount of cuteness makes up for cold showers.”

“I understand it’s an old building but you have to invest in a decent bed. The frame was so rickety it felt like I was sleeping on a water bed. I thought it might collapse at any second.”
