“We had an amazing time at Ruby’s Roost and the Magpie nest! The place had plenty of space for everyone to spread out and relax! The view is beautiful and everything was clean! We gathered with so many friends and family, played a little pool, made s’mores around the fire and relaxed on the back deck and spacious living room. I would recommend this place to any large group wanting to spend some time together!”

“I really wanted to love this shabby chic large home but it’s more shabby than chic. I don’t know who manages onsite but it’s definitely been neglected lately. The whole house needs a deep clean! There was a layer of dust on everything, even the open shelf dishes we had to wash before using. Cookware (skillet/baking sheets) & linens (towels/sheets) need to be replaced. One bed had dirt stains from previous guest feet. The refrigerator & microwave were both dirty on arrival & we hand washed dishes because there was a weird smell in dishwasher. Window seals had dust/bugs & a couple curtains had mildew. The patios & outside furniture need a good pressure wash. I was especially sad because the balcony views are now mostly blocked by overgrown foliage. There’s train tracks near by so you can hear that often. Also, the Magpie building didn’t have effective A/C, weird pumping/dripping water from kitchen faucet and a significant spider problem. I’m sorry, wouldn’t choose to stay here again.”
