“Overall it was an decent rental. It needs a good dusting, light bulbs replaced and it’s about time they bought new pillows for the beds. They provide cheap essentials, so bring your own, which didn’t help when the dishwasher wasn’t working because the previous guest put grease in it. We had to wash dishes the entire time. Only an old school coffee pot was available and not a keurig. Great coffee shop across the street that opens at 7 and saved the day! Our young family felt like we were at a retirement community, with a few residents that didn’t seem happy when kids were in the pools or hot tubs. The walk to the beach is extremely long and makes it hard to get to a bathroom quickly if needed (just fyi!)”

“We have been to Dauphin Island many times but this was our first time in this house. We all loved it. The location can't be beat, has an ocean view and within minutes walking you can be at the water's edge on the beach. We loved being on the Gulf side, previous years we have stayed on the Bay side. We love that it is dog friendly and has no carpet! The house feels spacious, the kitchen was well stocked for those that want to cook, huge deck and a gas grill (propane provided). The house was clean when we arrived. The one issue we did have which we didn't realize right off was that for some reason the vents were closed in the two smaller bedrooms and hall bath. This made for a pretty warm first night (not) sleeping as we didn't realize it till the next day, so if you have this issue, check the vents! Lol. I would absolutely stay here again and recommend to just about any type of group coming to the island (we were a group of 3 adult females for reference and multiple dogs).”

““All Decked Out” was “All F’d Up”. Lots of potential but dirty (ACP Rentals refunded our cleaning fee) and obviously the property has been left somewhat neglected. Ants were with us in the cabinets all week. Location cannot be better. 2 minute walk to the gulf. We love Dauphin Island but will pass on this property until upgrades are made.”

“Dauphin Island is a wonderful place to stay. The condo was spacious with a nice kitchen and bathrooms. However, it is a long walk to the beach (approx 1000 feet from the front t of the building). I typically never leave any negative feedback, but I feel I should mention the following. Our condo mattresses were not at all comfortable. Also, we talked to the front desk and messaged ACP Rentals on our second day because the air would not cool the condo below 75 degrees. This was still not fixed when we left on the fifth day.”

“This corporate-run rental, lacksthe personal touch rentals we are accustomed to from Air BnB. Not necessarily a negative, but ACP makes it significant by threatening fees, requiring extra stops for check-in & check-out, providing less than friendly responses to inquiries, and providing minimum amenities. The house itself is very accommodating to our large party of 10. We never felt crowded. With a bathroom for each bedroom, a shared bathroom on the bottom floor, and a half bath for common area, we never felt inconvenience. The kitchen is quite large with stone counters, providing a great place for multiple cooks in the kitchen. Good cutting knives would be helpful The consumables are bare minimum if at all. We rented the house for a week. Items we bought after arrival. This Cost of Rental was significant.
