“I’ve stayed at this complex before in a different unit with other management and had a better experience. This time I could not get the TV to work for 2/3 nights of my stay and the mini fridge broke and leaked all over the floor on day 2/4 and did not get fixed until 20 hours later. The communication and compensation the hosts offered me was subpar at best.”

“It was a nice place. Larger than the images. Close drive to the beach and other areas. Only negative is that there were a lot of ants inside the house.”

“Beautiful home with a beautiful view of Lake Michigan. Some confusing instructions for entering the home. Nice touch with some snacks and a bottle of wine in the house upon arrival.”

“Unfortunately this was one of the worst Airbnbs we've experienced. First they say it's on Griffith Ave. when it's actually two blocks away from Griffith. They advertise Griffith Ave. because it is the affluent street in town with all the big houses. We walked in to black tar on all the furniture and tracked through the whole house. We didn't have a clean place to sit so we had to place blankets on the couch to sit. There was trash under all the beds, old socks under a bed and trash in decor in the bedrooms. Bathroom doorknob was broken off and laying in the soap dish so that bathroom door couldn't be closed all the way. Only one remote had batteries and they were dead so we had to go buy some. We had to go buy ant bait as well because the kitchen was infested with ants. We kept all food in the fridge to keep ants out.There was a cockroach upstairs. The house was so bad they sent a cleaner over who spent 3 hrs cleaning just the kitchen. She then called the host to tell him it was bad.”

“Beautiful space, clean, beautiful location with beach and creek! Slow responses and no response on late check out or adding another night until after original check out time.”

“Condo is dated and very well loved. Nice location but could use updating as you can tell it’s been used ALOT. Bathroom walls and door were dirty with items crusted on. Not enough supplies like toilet, shampoo, etc were left for length of stay. Tv in the living room is old and has no streaming capabilities. Just basic tv utilizing an antenna. Washer only washes on hot despite the setting it’s put to.”

“This place was poorly managed and poorly kept. Would not recommend.”

“Pro: Location, Parking, Space, Clean, Comfortable Beds Con: Did not finish housekeeping so no clean towels or bedding when we checked in to change before a wedding. Sent host a message expecting housekeeping would at least replace folded clean linens. Also spoke to housekeeping saying we would be gone as soon as we changed if they could fix it. When we returned that night there were no clean bedding or towels so we slept on a bare bed and host accused us of getting in without a code. Seemed to be a miscommunication within host staff but it would have been nice if they checked their own issues and fixed it promptly rather than taking 11 days and numerous follow ups to get a cleaning fee refund. Summary: It was a bed but I would have liked to not drip dry after my shower and be able to have sheets on the bed.”

“This was a great location. Good stay other than some trash left behind and the slider to the balcony was so difficult to open and close. Also leaves left on balcony from last fall we would have used that area more if it were clean and easier to get to. I would stay again and recommend staying here.”

“The unit itself was incredible—beautifully maintained with a stunning view of the bay that really made the stay feel special. Unfortunately, the check-in experience didn’t match the quality of the space. I had paid for early check-in, but upon arrival, I wasn’t able to access the unit. After calling, I was informed there was a lock issue and the unit wasn’t available. I was then told an alternative unit would be ready by 4:00 PM, but it ended up not being ready until after 4:30 PM. While the property itself exceeded expectations, the lack of communication and delay during check-in was frustrating and took away from the overall experience.”
