Manager Review

Travel Life Vacations

Travel Life Vacations's guest rating of 4.78 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract.

“It is a amazing house with more than enough space but there was a few things that could’ve been better. First one of the small bedrooms bed frame was broken I told them and never responded. Second the coffee table in the living room was also broken with screws everywhere this they did pick it up the next day but even the staff member said that it look like it was fix a couple of times. Then we couldn’t use the bikes because they didn’t know the code they say they will help us but never did and yes I signed all the waivers and everything and it was for nothing. It’s a nice house but the communication was not that good. Specially when you pay over $2200 for 3 nights. Oh and they won’t communicate with you trough the Airbnb app they will send you messages to your phone even when you tell them to do everything through the app.”

“I hate 1-star, but for the next guest, I must be honest. Luxury isn't a look; it's an experience, and the experience fell far short of expectations. There was visible mold in the fourth-floor bathroom, multiple cockroaches, and no hot water upstairs until halfway through Day 3. Repairs then left the entire house without water for about 8 hours, with 11 guests unable to use toilets, shower, wash hands, or do dishes. The master bedroom lock didn't work. Even more concerning, the worker sent to shut off the elevator let himself into the house without knocking, calling, or warning us while our young kids were inside. Beyond the major issues, this four-story home has a working elevator guests aren't allowed to use, no basic toiletries or toilet paper, a tub without a stopper, AC restricted to 68+, and fan remotes that control fans on other floors. At $1,000/night, the cleanliness, plumbing, privacy, and maintenance issues were unacceptable. We cannot recommend this property.”

“We reached out several times during our stay to report construction noise that is directly on the property 10 ft at most behind the house we stayed at. Each time we reported we were told they were just finding out about this. This is a home being built behind the property in an adjacent lot. Noise such as hammers, nail guns, jack hammering and loud music from the construction workers began everyday at 7AM and continued into the weekend. We would not have booked if we had known this was happening. They did finally offer us 5% discount but truly it was an inconvenience and made our stay uncomfortable.”

“When I’ve stayed at vacation homes in the past, there has always been at least water, snacks , some basic beach chairs, and clear directions for community amenities, recommendations for restaurants/things to do. There was nothing warm or welcoming and definitely didn’t provide anything for the beach or any directions for anything! When we did call the number about the lack of hot water, they did not provide help. When we called another time about where to find the community pool, they did not know! In closing, I was very disappointed!!”

“Me and my entire family (12 people) showed up to another family in the home we paid several thousand dollars for. They double booked the place and had no idea. I was refunded the full amount but that lack of organization is incredibly unacceptable. I would triple check before I drove my whole family to stay at this place. USE CAUTION!”

“Well, Where do I start we arrived late, no blankets for the two air mattresses. AC went out. Mold under the kitchen sink. Fan in main bath does not work. Ceiling fan in master outdated and doesn't work. Fire pit in pictures has chairs however they are missing. No grill utensils. No plasticware only glass by a pool. No mop to do daily clean up. No starter items paper towels, dish soap, trash bags and toilet paper. There was an issue with the golf cart, in the ad it shows a private cart. However it was contracted out and was a nightmare to deal with. Tabitha was responsive, but today Chris was on the phone and could care less about any concerns or possible refund to help cover costs. They had the audacity to try to record my phone conversation. As a retired Marine we have integrity and if I could go back I would steer clear of this house and the management company. They are lacking integrity and are only worried about profit and not guests concerns. We wasted $5688.00.”

“BEWARE! This house did not represent the photos in the listing…. There was black mold in showers we had to bleach them the main floors were so dirty our bare feet were black! We bought a mop and bleach and mopped 3 times bc the water was still so dirty. There were stains and pet hair on the coverlets (we bought blankets and pillowcases) the counter chairs are covered in gross stains nobody wanted to sit on them and the legs are about to fall off. The outdoor cushions are covered in stains. The pool lounge chairs have no cushions and it was like sitting on concrete. Not enough bath towels for the week and they are a gross brown color( white would be nice so you can bleach them) the fridge smelled of fish - kitchen trash drawer broken and they don’t leave you with any garbage bags. Black hairs in the bathroom drawers and a few finger nails and Bandaids by the pool. They refunded us the cleaning fee of $300 but never again! The house is in need of serious repair and cleaning!”

“Very disappointing experience, mainly due to poor communication and inaccurate information. Responses to required text messages were often delayed or never came, and I had to call the emergency number just to get basic answers. Beach access instructions were incorrect—we were asked to leave the area listed, then directed to another area marked private, which was frustrating and embarrassing. We felt like we might be asked to leave again. The home did not match the listing, with missing furniture and wall art, making it feel unkept and misrepresented. There was also a strong odor in the garage; after reporting it and receiving only “thanks for letting us know,” I had to call again. Maintenance later found a dead snake. There was no apology or follow-up, and I was told to air it out myself. The golf cart also felt unsafe, as it required driving on a busy road. At this price point, better communication and support are expected.”

“The location of the home was good. When we arrived house keeping was still there even though it was after check in... None of the windows on the main floor of the home lock, so if safety is a concern for you, I wouldn't book. The bunk beds were broken as well as another bed in a separate room. Two different rooms had dirty comforters and sheets on the beds still. The rules state not to strip the beds but we did to ensure the next guests get clean sheets. The fridge wreaked horribly and we had fruit flies the entire duration of our stay. The umbrella in the back yard completely snapped in half while our daughter was sitting in the hammock. Notified the hosts about everything above but they didn't seem to care or weren't surprised by any of this. There were barely enough towels for our small family of 5 so if you have a large group I'd pack your own. Management definitely needs to be more involved in this property as it is lacking lots.”
