Timber Valley Rentals
4.66Visit website
Timber Valley Rentals's guest rating of 4.66 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract.

“Beautiful lake views and a convenient location, but unfortunately the property was not guest-ready upon arrival. We found dirty dishes left in the dishwasher, a dirty bowl in a downstairs microwave, a dirty cookie sheet in the oven, unfinished laundry in the washer/dryer, sticky floors, bugs/cobwebs, and other cleanliness concerns throughout the home. Guests should plan to bring all supplies they may need. We did not find an adequate starter supply of towels, washcloths, toilet paper, paper towels, cleaning supplies, or kitchen essentials for our group. The kitchen has basic cookware, but inventory is somewhat limited. Communication was polite but often delayed, no cleaner was available to return, and replacement supplies did not arrive until the following morning. The walk to the dock is very steep. Great location, but based on our experience, guests should be prepared to bring extra supplies and may encounter housekeeping issues that require attention after check-in.”airbnb

“The overall stay at Lake of the Ozarks was satisfactory. The home was very spacious and comfortably accommodated a family of 14. However, several areas need improvement: • The house should be thoroughly cleaned before renters arrive. • Housekeepers were an hour late before check-in (compensation was provided). • The grill had excessive grease buildup, causing it to catch fire when used. • The patio deck was filled with spiders, some of which were found inside the home as well. • The refrigerator only slightly chilled items and did not get cold enough. • The pool sticks provided were not usable. Addressing these issues would enhance future guests' experiences.”airbnb

“My friends and I really don’t have crazy expectations but this place was a disaster and caused us to problem solve the entire time. The electrical has serious issues- multiple outlets are legit melted and there were numerous wiring issues affecting lights, things not working, etc. Major Saftey concerns. The AC was half broken the entire weekend. The dock walkway was broken. Significant mold in one of the bathrooms, many things were broken- chairs, couch, small items and one of the shower doors. I tried communicating with them before and after our stay and they are unresponsive. Overall the place is completely misrepresenting what it is. The only good thing about it is the location but there are certainly better places to stay. Don’t rent this.”airbnb

“The place was nice but just a little hot on half of the building . Had a lot of room and space for guest . Nice view right off the lake . I would definitely revisit after jacuzzi and A/c is repaired.”airbnb

“Prior to booking, I made sure I selected “entire home” as we have two small children. Upon arriving, I noticed 2 entrances w/locked doors in basement. Assumed it was for the hosts personal space. That was until another guest walked in, while my family was eating- in the shared space. It is NOT a private home. You can access the downstairs “rentals” & I did not feel comfortable w/booking an “entire home” to have people walk into the home. I reached out to the host and AirBNB, both promptly replied. There was some “defensiveness” stating that my unit was an “entire home” & secured which is not true & I have pictures & videos which I shared with AirBNB. The host later admitted they needed to be more clear in the posting. I felt very unsafe after that, especially with my children able to open doors that were accessed by other individuals- up to 3 other renters. I would not book with this host again at this point. It put a huge damper on our family vacation. We left very early the next day.”airbnb
