Tidewatch Vacations
4.75Visit website
Tidewatch Vacations's guest rating of 4.75 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract.

“I had several issues with reservation - broken doors, ceiling fans not working, no plumbing for a few hours, no working bathtub to bathe my kids. The sliding door didn’t have a handle so it was inoperable and was advised to lock door with a piece of wood. No refund was provided by the host due to me not taking pictures for evidence. Would never recommend this host to anyone!”airbnb

“This was a cute, clean house at the marina. Great for 4 people. BUT it was hot upstairs and you could not turn the thermostat down below 72 degrees - there was a note that the unit would freeze up. Plus the ceiling fan in the back bedroom popped all night and it was hard to sleep with the noise, but if you turned it off it got too hot to sleep. Didn’t learn about air until after we rented. That should be included in listing.”airbnb

“Cute little spot with a nice porch that had beautiful views of the golf course. Saw plenty of alligators and deer throughout the visit. We weren’t crazy about the bare bones kitchen accommodations. The description also made it sound like amenities would be included, but sadly we’re not. But it was clean and a great location on Fripp, so worth it in the end”airbnb

“The location of the condo can’t be beat. Steps away from the beach and pool. The place was very clean and kitchen was well appointed if you choose to cook. Be aware that parking is not included in the advertised rate. The additional nonrefundable nightly fee for a parking pass is buried in the house rules and will be requested by TideWatch after booking.”airbnb

“The host needs to update all their instructions. Check in/ keypad lock instructions were wrong as were the online internet instructions. The house manual had a different internet and that did not work either. Finally a third one was given and it worked. This was very stressful for us.”airbnb

“The cottage is newly renovated, clean with comfortable bed nice comfortable sofa well decorated with coastal theme , Kitchen set up for basic needs really wish they have basic amenities like salt pepper coffee at least for the first morning, really could use a nice set of knives, it was a bit challenging to cut with one knife that is very dull. Keep in mind it’s not managed by an Owner so you’re not gonna get a little welcome gift or a bottle of wine up on your arrival. It’s managed by company that in my opinion cheapskates , you get one towel set per person , you we got one roll of toilet paper for a week and one paper towel One kitchen towel we’re both laugh when we saw that, but I guess they rather us run the washer and dryer every day then provide more amenities big difference between renting a cottage that is manage by owner versus management company I will never do it again . Location is great walking distance to most places, it’s quiet right across from cemetery.”airbnb

“Nice house, good location right on the beach. However, the grill was greasy, rusty and not functionally, so no barbeque for us. Public pool was closed for a week.”airbnb

“Great view of the ocean and very clean. But Tidewatch charges extra for parking pass and early checkin. When I arrived at the condo the door was ajar and workman were working outside and plugged into the units electricity. When I called the office, Rosa said she didn't know anything about this but would look into and call me back. She never did. I took care of it myself. The amenities are barebones, exactly 2 rolls of toilet paper, no linens for the sofa bed, no pillow cases for the spare pillows, not even salt and pepper. Over more than a decade with AirBnB and more than 20 rentals, this was the worst. My advice, only rent if you are desperate!”airbnb

“The place was good. Our only downsides were that the golf cart had no gas in it so we couldn’t use it, there were two cockroaches in the house when we got there and the upstairs room uses a curtain rather than a door so can be a bit noisy. The house was cute and roomy though and on a beautiful and peaceful street.”airbnb

“First and foremost, the AC did not work. Secondly, the WiFi did not work either. The "beach" is on an oyster bed and is extremely muddy. NOT like a typical sandy beach. There was no clear driveway or path to the beach. Inside was made to be nice BUT Outside of the house and surrounding area needs much updating and maintaining. Was a decent house but not for what transpired and for the price. Host unwilling to work with us on any sort of reimbursement. Even with no AC or WiFi among the other issues. EXTREMELY disappointed.”airbnb
