Thousand Hills Vacations's guest rating of 4.70 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract.

“Great location. Plenty to keep you entertained. Cabin was really nice with a couple of exceptions. Dishes were old plastic with deep knife cuts in the plates. Really cheap. Dishwasher is also very shoddy. Beds were great. The tp was probably the very cheapest version that is made. Close to all Branson and surrounding area has to offer. We would definitely come back but would stay in a different cabin. Pool is fab. We were told by Airbnb that the lazy river was open. Then, when we called to check, we were told it would not be open while we were there. It was too late to change our reservation but it does feel that the host should have compensated for telling us an amenities would be available when it was not”airbnb

“We only stayed Friday to Sunday, but we were not expecting how FAR out of the way this place was located. We drove all the way to the location only to find out we had no service so far out in the woods. We had to drive back to the entrance of Thousand Hills to get phone service to pull up the instructions on how to get in to the airbnb. Being informed that there was no service and to have the entry directions saved would have been appreciated, especially after a tiring drive in. It wasn’t just way out of the way, but literally the closest place to eat is Branson, a 35 minute drive. We stopped at a burger joint on the corner fairly close, but it was just past 7 pm, and they said they were closed. I was not upset about that, because it did not look (or smell) like a place we would have enjoyed. We drove into Branson to eat a late dinner. When we returned to the cottage, it was late. We were very thankful it was a clean and tidy place. It was very tiny, but one of the cleanest places.”airbnb

“They should have checked out the house before our arrival. I had to clean the dead bugs out of the bath tubs and off the floors when we got there. I noticed there were more the day we left.”airbnb

“Cabin was fairly clean..Definitely needs some tlc, paint, furnishings, fixtures, ect. The road there is terrible and it 30 mins from everything lol. Contacted host one time to ask for some fresh towels..was told they would put in the order...we never received them. I will say the location is peaceful..but far from private. Overall our stay was enjoyable but I would probably not stay at this location again.”airbnb

“The location was wonderful, we enjoyed the screened in porch. The layout of the house was nice with large beds in each room. The jacuzzi bath upstairs was great. We spent a lot of time in the cabin and always looked forward to coming back when we did leave to do activities. There was a coffee pot and a couple of filters of coffee, be sure to bring your own salt/pepper, seasonings, condiments, ect. Having a washer and dryer was convenient, and there was a little box of tide, enough for one load. My only complaint would be the commuication. They had a slow response time and one of my requests was not responded to. I asked if they supplied a hair dryer, they said there was not and told me I would need to bring my own. When I get there, a hair dryer was in the bathroom. While there I asked if I could log into my netflix or prime and they asked what brand of tv was in the unit and then said I would need to read the tech guide but there wasn't one.”airbnb

“Was a beautiful home and was roomy for the family, but unfortunately we arrived 8 min after check in time to have the cleaning crew still working on the house and was not able to check in until 40 min after check in time. The cleaning crew came back due to an oversight on trash and looked to be potting soil around the hot tub. I also let the host know of the broken bar stool due to I did not want to be responsible for something my family and I did not do. During my stay I also had to request a working vacuum and a propane tank due to the two propane tanks on site were empty and was unable to use the fire pit. The agents I spoke to for all the troubles we had were friendly, and the neighborhood was quiet and peaceful. The host offered a late check out or a ticket but we were leaving early and had already purchased our tickets and I asked for a credit instead. Agents said a manager would call and they never did. I hope this was just an unfortunate experience and not a regular occurrence”airbnb

“The location is peaceful and so relaxing. I chose this place for the “private hot tub”. I asked before booking. The hot tub is NOT private. The cottages near are, but this one can be seen from the parking, the road, the community areas and it’s right outside another cottages windows. No privacy. However, it’s a beautiful location. The creek, porch, fire pits are all wonderful. Cottage is adorable. If you are going for a romantic getaway, choose another cabin.”airbnb

“The place was nice but we had booked a newer cabin and was told that one was under renovation so they moved us to an older cabin with no credits or accommodation given. The cabin we wanted still showed available on the website. When we arrived we noticed that 2 of the beds did not have blankets on them and they were unable to deliver some blankets to our cabin. There was also ants in the bathroom.”airbnb

“When we arrived to the location, the fire alarm panel was going off every few seconds. I immediately called and was told someone would be out to fix this. No one ever game the next day. We were able to switch a breaker and reset this, however, it started again the next day. In addition we had found that none of the outlets in the front bedroom, and the lights in that bathroom did not work at all. The dishwasher also started to leak, since no one had ever come, we called again and I sent a video of the alarm going off every few seconds. The maintenance man was not able to figure out why this was happening and was unable to fix the power to the front bedroom/bathroom and said he'd someone that never came. He told us to not worry about the dishwasher, and to just put down a towel. The alarm went off AGAIN the next day, until we reset it. My parents spent the entire vacation unable to plug in anything, chargers ect, in the room they were staying in and without any lights to the bathroom.”airbnb

“We originally booked for a small cabin. We were contacted and informed there was an issue with the fridge and we'd be moved to another cabin. No big deal. We show up, the cabin is dirty. Clearly, no one had been in to clean since the last guests stayed. We hung out with our kids outside while we waited for a response. The cell service is little to non existent, so we left. We received word back that they would be willing to move us to the biggest cabin at no extra charge. We turned the car and crying kids around and went back. The cabins were beautiful, but after being moved to a 3rd cabin, the water not working in either sink and no hot water for the bath/shower, we asked for a refund. We were comped with an even bigger cabin that was in town and closer to everything. The kids loved it but after spending an unnecessary 2.5 hours just trying to commute to/settle into a room, after spending 5 hours in the car and time in town hiking, we were all pretty frustrated. They did give us pizza”airbnb
