The Square Foot Group's guest rating of 4.79 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract.

“Overall place was comfortable for laying my head down and having somewhere safe to stay. Was not pleased with the age of the building as the elevator broke, the bathroom sliding door was off the track from the time we got there, there were no dish towels for the dishes and pots and pans were limited. The purpose of the kitchen was to be able to cook and we were limited and what we could do. The shower in the bathroom never got hot. Was cool water the entire time need more outlets near the bed to plug-in. Phones outlets were too far away in the bedroom and not enough light in the living room. Would I book again? Possibly. The place was clean. Just wish I had received the instructions about the towels and the curfew sooner. I was there for a festival and I don’t go to bed at 8 o’clock.”airbnb

“The place itself was clean and fine overall, but not very walkable and we had to Uber to get where we actually wanted to visit. Our biggest issue was communication from the host. Right before our trip, the Spirit Airlines shutdown affected our travel plans and we reached out while still within the cancellation window. It took multiple messages and over 24 hours to get a response after each message. Since we could only stay 1 night instead of 2, we requested 50% back for the night we couldn’t stay, which was essentially the same as their cancellation policy anyway. The host didn’t respond until after the cancellation window had passed and then denied it, leaving us unable to cancel at all. She hosts 62 properties and was unwilling to help a family over $200. There was also a dead smoke detector that beeped throughout the night and kept us awake. Airbnb support was not helpful either. We visit this area often for cruises and wouldn’t stay here again. Check out Costa Beach House instead”airbnb

“The space was mostly clean with the exception of the floors which left our feet black. Don’t think they mop much. Otherwise, spotless. Beds were very comfortable but the pillows are tiny. I would suggest bringing pillows if you need more than one for your head. The one thing that was very disappointing is that the thermostat is programmed to stay at 74 degrees no matter what you do. We set it lower several times and it adjusts itself back up automatically. Made it very uncomfortable to sleep at night since we like it cold. Plus the windows are older and don’t hold in the cold. This makes the apartment very hot with no way to control the temperature. Otherwise a nice place. Great communication. Easy access. Close to everything.”airbnb

“To be fair this property appeared to be everything described and exactly what we needed. We were so thrilled with everything about it, until upon a closer look everyone discovered it had not been cleaned and it was really bad. There were wet towels on the bed, food on the floor, dirty dishes. The cleaning staff would have had a situation even if they would have arrived. Our host was contacted and within the hour was attempted to assist. Problem was were now without a place to stay, it had been a full day of travel, and everyone was tired and hungry. We realize things happen and schedules get messed up. but this really could have and should have been avoided. The cancellation was by the Host and we were inconvenienced; we should not have been charged the $25.00 for whatever reason when we got our refund. I would not avoid renting from Adlene again, but I would most likely stay in closer communication on arrival to assure I did not have a similar situation.”airbnb

“I give it an okay stay. No TV in the bedroom, stained towels, the shower door doesn’t close, thin walls, and on top of that, the maintenance guy just randomly came by, and I felt unsafe leaving him alone with my stuff.”airbnb

“The host was very available to respond. Unfortunately the hotel is very badly run. We had to wait 2 hours after check in to get our room. When we came up they were still in the middle of cleaning. When we wanted to check out it was a 1 hour wait for the elevator to bring our luggages to the main floor. The room is very nice and spacious.”airbnb

“The home itself is nice, and the layout works really well for families. That said, it does show some signs of wear and didn’t feel especially curated or personalized compared to other Airbnbs we’ve stayed in. There weren’t many thoughtful touches or local recommendations, which made the space feel a bit more functional than truly welcoming. Cleanliness was mostly fine, though we did notice some hair on the wall in the master bathroom. Yuck! We also had to spend some time reprogramming the master bedroom fan, but were able to get it working. The location is a definite plus—Pompano Beach is charming and just a short drive away. One thing to note is that the listing photos showing beach chairs and toys in the garage were a bit misleading—beach items are no longer provided. It’s worth mentioning the “hot” tub wasn’t heated, and the pool could have been cleaner, though there was some rain during our trip which may have contributed. Overall, it was an okay stay and met our family’s needs”airbnb

“Honestly, most of what I am about to say is really not the host’s fault, it’s the hotel’s. My only issue with the host is that I was failed to be notified that I could not check in at 4pm due to the room not being ready, and that the hotel was having system issues. What I had to endure altered my entire plans for my birthday. The line for check in was extremely long because the hotel had system issues. I arrived at the hotel at 3:45pm to check in but did not make it to the front until 4:50pm. The hotel nor the host called me to advise about the delays. When I addressed my concerns with the host, he suggested that I go to the GYM to take a shower and get situated while I wait on the room. Absolutely NOT!! I had to check in after midnight. The system still was down. I had to wait in line to check in and wait for a security to take me to my room because I was unable to get a room key. I had to repeat this process every time I left the room and came back. No hot water in the master bedroom”airbnb

“The interior was very nice and clean. The common areas of the entrance and hallway were rough. And it wasn’t mentioned that it was in need of or in the process of being updated until the check in instructions were sent. So it was surprising.”airbnb
