Wish I could give this place 5 stars, but unfortunately I can not. First of all, you’re not renting someone’s place. You’re renting a vacation rental. The company that manages it did not respond when we reached out to them prior to the trip. Turns out that they send you all the instructions via an automated text the day before your trip. When we arrived, we could not work the blinds. We tried calling and messaging, but did not get a response. An hour later we got a hold of maintenance, and they came by, but they could not fix the blinds so we were stuck with them up the whole stay. The location is nice. A cute little vacation rental community. The pool was right at our front door which was convenient, but a little noisy at times, so be prepared for that. There was a coffee maker, but no coffee or any seasonings if you’re going to cook. The fridge also needs to air filter replaced, so it yelled at us every time we got water. But overall, the place was nice. Just be prepared to clean

We tried to call guest services 4-5 times and no response or call back. We also didn’t receive requested items (we were given 3 bath towels for the entire house, no laundry soap etc).

It was perfect for 14 people. We did have two children. I think the only problem that I had with this property was the lack of communication for informing us that we were going to be unable to use the hot tub. We were all really disappointed just because we use that as a main reason for choosing this house to rent, and I never was even able to communicate with an manager to talk about compensation. I was only tossed a certain amount of a reimbursement that just did not feel enough to remedy the issue of no hot tub. Overall, the house was beautiful. We had a leaking sink which we put in a maintenance call for and a fridge that did not seem to be working. It wasn’t as cold and I don’t know if it was just because of the 92° weather, but all of our ice cream was melting in the freezer. There was quite a bit of gnats in the house but that was not a big deal to us. Just something to keep in mind.

The house was beautiful, clean, and had all the necessary items for cooking, towels for the pool and lake. It was nicely and thoughtfully furnished inside and out and the hot tub on the property was great! The only issue we encountered was that the host never responded to my messages on the Airbnb app about whether or not it was safe to come with the fires. I ended up calling the front desk of The Lookout though and they were very helpful and nice.

This house worked mostly well for a group of 4 families with small children. We liked the general layout with lots of bedrooms and bathrooms separated from the communal living space. The setting was beautiful, and generally the Lookout is a good place to stay with young kids. The cons: it was difficult to tell who the true host was - someone via Airbnb or the lookout, and they sometimes disagreed on logistics like checkin and out time. Also this house in particular had a few broken things - blinds, shower drains, lights. Most notably the hot tub was broken our entire stay with poor communication about trying to get it fixed, and it was a big disappointment not to have it as expected. Also the large deck was a source of a shocking number of splinters, mainly affecting our small children crawling around. For the price they need to better maintain the property, and better communicate about concerns.

We booked this property in April for a stay in June. Upon arrival, the gate code worked, but the driveway was much longer than advertised and in extremely poor condition. Although we expected a gravel driveway, it was filled with deep ruts and was only passable by our 4WD vehicle. Our group of 10 would not have been able to access the property otherwise. When we reached the house, the door code had not been updated from the previous guest, so we couldn’t get inside. After contacting the host, he acknowledged he had noticed the driveway’s condition earlier that day but had not warned us or addressed the issue. He suggested driving through the grass, which was not a practical solution. There was also overflowing trash left on the property. While the listing photos make the property look great, our experience was the opposite. The poor driveway, incorrect door code, and lack of preparation made for a very frustrating stay, and it took considerable effort to receive a refund through Airbnb

We have stayed at another one of Jonny’s rentals before. This one, however, did not meet the previous expectations or any standards for that matter. Trash left behind in areas of the house. A cupcake wrapper was left on the floor. Your feet turn black when you walk around the house. The rug was moved and there was dust/crumbs underneath. The kitchen needed to be wiped down. No diving board… so don’t get your hopes up. The upstairs king bed is sagging. Maintenance issues- broken overhead lights, scuffs everywhere, dusty. Outside is the same. The drain holes for the pool water are so clogged on the porch they do not work. Pile of bricks/cinder blocks at the game room entrance. Only one small couch to hang out on in the game room. Pool sticks are terrible. There’s a broken pocket on the pool table (which was mentioned in a previous review months ago). Unfortunately, this home is very messy and needs maintenance.

Overall, we had a pleasant stay. The home was clean, spacious, and in a beautiful location. However, the biggest issue was the air conditioning. An HVAC technician came out twice, but the problem was never fully resolved, only temporary fixes. We only had one comfortable night with working AC. The rest of the stay, especially the last two days when temperatures were in the 90s, was uncomfortably warm upstairs. We reported the issue again but received no response. The bunk beds and trundle beds were also uncomfortable and very squeaky, making it difficult to get a good night's sleep. While we enjoyed the property overall, the unresolved AC issue and uncomfortable beds significantly impacted our experience. With those issues addressed, this would be a much better stay.

We liked the location. Would rent a vacation home in the neighborhood, but not this home or management company. They were unresponsive. Messaged very late about a delay in our check-in time. Then messaged with an early check-out time that was not in line with the check-out time posted online and in the home. We were traveling and based our travel on the posted times. Flexibility is fine when provided with enough notice, but we just won’t rent from them in the future. Nice location. Has much to offer.
