“The location of the apartment is good, but I had a very hard time sleeping during my stay. There is a street light directly at window level, as well as a parking garage building right across the street that keeps its lights on all night. With no blackout curtains, it's impossible to get either room dark enough to sleep. The seating of one of the chairs in the living room is clearly damaged. When I sat on it, because of the broken support, I almost fell.”

“Overall I did enjoy my stay here, would not stay again. The address it takes you to is the opposite side of the building’s entrance. Which can be difficult to find at night. Not a safe neighborhood, beware. The code they gave me to check in the building was wrong. The security guard gave me the right one- he was very helpful and literally saved my life a couple of times. The fans in room didn’t work, you have no control of air/heat. There’s a nearby public transit that is very loud at all hours of the day 24/7. The rooms don’t go all the way to ceiling so can hear each other in the apartment, as well as neighbors. A box fan would even be nice for some air circulation or noise reduction. The parking lot across the road you get a discount of $35/day to park at is tricky to catch the cashier at, definitely not there at night. Otherwise nearby parking was $67. There was nowhere to put trash at check out- seemed like host is AI bot. They said trash chutes were there that physically weren’t.”

“I’m having mixed feelings about leaving a review. Somethings seem hardly worth mentioning, however when it’s your money being spent I guess it’s ok. Although the place pictured on the listing is what you walked into as mentioned in other reviews it really needs some TLC . We also experienced other peoples hair in sheets as well as stains. We just removed the linens and purchased cheap ones for the time we were there. We also had a maintenance issue. Although our host was quick to respond it took 2 days to fix the issue , and this made us have to change our plans to stay in and watch football.( seems not that serious) we just went somewhere else to watch the game. Inconvenient but . The issue was not a big problem it only took few minutes to resolve the issue . Sort of disappointing. Also when I booked I didn’t get the impression that it was on the 3rd level . So just be aware. Parking was never an issue . That’s a plus.”

“It was a perfect spot for what we needed. The construction was a little annoying but not inconvenient for the trip. The beds were a little too soft for your preference but over all it was a lovely stay.”

“Ubicación excelente. El apartamento no estaba muy limpio, las alfombras estaban sucias, por momentos olía a cloacas dentro. Un dia fuimos a desayunar y al regresar encontramos que habian entrado al apartamento a hacer unos trabajos, teniamos todas nuestras cosas dentro, ignorando cuando les comenté que preferia que hicieran esos trabajos una vez que finalizara mi estadía. Tiene muy buena ubicación y responden rapido pero realmente no volvería a quedarme allí por el tema de la limpieza y que entraron al apartamento durante nuestra estadía sin autorización.”

“The location was great for visiting Chicago and hitting all the tourist sites. The space was clean and easy to access. Two of the bedrooms didn't have walls fully separating them from the living space and I wish that had been clearer in the listing. The biggest negative is that this airbnb is handled by a company that makes you fill out a significant amount of paperwork not on airbnb's website. They were not flexible when I shared that I was not comfortable sharing personal information (they required a photo of my drivers license) especially when this is clearly against airbnb's policy. Luckily, I was not scammed but I was very wary and I would recommend that they follow airbnb's policies in the future.”

“Exceptional location. Was able to walk to get coffee, several restaurants, and shopping. My only complaints was the noise levels from outside. The master bedroom is not enclosed so you hear everything in the condo and out. Was also a little surprised at the lack of any amenities especially the lack of coffee but then again coffee places were close.”

“Saying I got hoodwinked is an understatement…. Menstrual cycle blood on the bed sheets. The dryer was broken which caused an additional $400 need to buy clothes since we couldn’t wash any. The elevator was not working good. Twice I personally had to hoof it 8 stories up a stairwell. The Host took no accountability for the issues we were forced to face. But the location is conveniently located across the street from a maximum security federal correctional prison. So at least it presented some level of danger and excitement. Never ever ever catch me staying there again. The host had the nerve to tell me about “quiet hours” when the neighbor sounded on their way to a violent domestic across the hall for hours Saturday evening. What a joke and what a dump.”

“Patio doors couldn’t lock , very moist counter tops , bad ac unit it would automatically jump back to 85 degrees after setting low temperature … you can’t open drapes without somebody seeing everything your doing , roof top could’ve been a little more cozy to sit on but would recommend washing your furniture I only liked the towels they weren’t cheap looking I couldnt find out how to use the bathroom shower instructions should come along…. There was no trash bags in the trash cans in the rest room very inconsiderate no thought was out into the house the receptionist charges us for early check in and it still looked a mess even tho we had to wait till 4 cause they told us call back”

“While the home is aesthetically beautiful, our experience was extremely disappointing. What concerns me most is that previous reviews did not mention many of the issues we encountered. From arrival, we contacted the host about a sliding door that would not lock. As a group of women, we felt unsafe and had to use poles to secure the door ourselves. The garage code provided also did not work. We were given multiple codes to try, but none consistently worked, forcing us to enter the home, open the garage from inside, then return outside every time we parked. The home had dead and live cockroaches, red ants in both the kitchen and bathroom, stained sheets, and poor cleanliness overall. I had planned to cook a birthday dinner after grocery shopping, only to find the kitchen poorly equipped with just two saucepans, cookie sheets, and only ONE fork. Many planned activities were disrupted while dealing with these issues. Despite reporting concerns immediately, meaningful action wasn’t taken”
