“My friends and I highly enjoyed our stay at the cottages! They were comfortable, a great location and it was fun to have such a nice home base. The pool was a ton of fun to hang out in and the beach was just a 5 minute walk away. We didn’t end up cooking anything but the kitchen appeared well stocked!”

“Our stay was fantastic! Not only is the property located very close to the beach, but it is a stone's throw to multiple restaurants and bars, shopping, live music etc. Our unit was very clean and comfortable, and had everything we needed, to include beach accessories. The pool was private and very pretty, and we enjoyed the poolside games. Would definitely stay again and highly recommend!”

“Unfortunately booking his place was a horrible mistake. Host was quick to accept my booking and then sent me a message telling me to send my email for my information on how to get into the house. 30 minutes from the house I still never received information so I messaged him again. He never sent it. I , my husband and child never got in and to had to sleep in our car after several hours trying to contact him and Airbnb tired as well it was 3am in the morning when we have up . Traumatic experience because I had my child with me . Details on how to get it should not be able to be given this way !”

“This place is cute! I'm a sucker for historic charm and they've managed to keep a lot of it- wood floors, exposed brick, beadboard walls, etc. But the location is the real star- it is walkable to shops, restaurants, & the beach. The apartment does not have a dishwasher or oven & the sink is small, but it has everything else you would need. Minor complaints: a few of our dishes needed re-cleaning upon arrival, the couch could use replacing as it is worn and itchy, & there could be more hooks to hang towels, etc. Our main issue was we woke up at 5am on our last day to a leak directly above the bed & water dripping on my husband's face. We told the owner & he responded, "Thank you for bringing this to my attention" a few hours later. That's all. No apologies, no offer to remediate. So we didn't sleep much after that & our morning was kind of a wash. We put down towels to try & help, sent photos of the leak, & left early. I understand things happen but customer service goes a long way.”

“The host was extremely responsive when I needed a bike helmet and realized I was missing a beach umbrella however, when I communicated that I need to check out early because of a death in my family, he read two messages before I mentioned in the third message that I see he’s read the message without a response. He then said he never saw the messages. Not sure if he’s aware that Airbnb provides read receipts, but it showed me that he did see the messages. He then said he would speak with the owner about a partial refund since I’m checking out early under distressing circumstances, however he never responded again. Beyond his lack of empathy and poor communication, the room was beautiful. However, the walls were extremely paper thin. I heard neighbors all around me, and I could hear their conversation word for word, not just a little bit of mumble and some noise, it was like they were in the room with me. The sheets were stained as well, I didn’t notice till the last day…gross.”

“The unit was much smaller than expected, with such a low ceiling in the kitchen that I kept hitting my head. I also encountered several spiders, especially in the bathroom and even in the towels. The unit next door was under renovation during my stay, which created noise and reduced privacy. The pool was very small, and other guests were chain-smoking while using it. The host also sent multiple repetitive messages about checkout despite my already knowing the process. Finally, although the host emphasized the city’s quiet hours, there were very loud fireworks well into the night after those hours. Overall, the stay did not match my expectations.”

“Nice place as described. Perfect location to walk to bars and restaurants. Large family of guests on floor above made for constant noise. Towels appeared old, worn, and stained. Almost zero hot water in shower which host has yet to respond to.”

“I was glad to find there were no bugs as mentioned by a previous guest. It was a small space as described. Had everything I needed for a couple of nights stay. Beautiful location and convenient to the beach and a few restaurants. The check in was the most complicated that I have experienced. I have been staying in Airbnbs for 11 years. They just kept sending me the same response every time I had a question. There were contracts to sign, parking was so complicated and you have to send a photo of your ID so he can get a permit for your stay. Then you have to wait for that to get approved. All hard to do when you are sweating in the Florida sun. While I was rushing to pack up an hour before check out, the owner banged on my door and dropped of a lamp. Thought that was very strange.”

“Space was very small. Bathroom toilet incredibly uncomfortable and tight quarters. When entering the unit there was a gross rancid fish smell. Tracked it to the kitchen sink and realized the disposal was broken and the previous tenet threw fish down the drain so the entire unit smelled like rotten fish. Had to use the drain stopper to block them smell which made the main sink unusable. We arrive in the dark and had check out the next morning. I borrowed a beach chair to sit on the beach and enjoy the views for a little bit but got yelled at though the messaging app and was informed they were spying on me and watched me leave with the chair on some camera and demanded I bring the chair back immediately. And cheap window ac unit was situated right next to the fold down bed ( about 10” from my head) which made sleeping difficult. Over all I’d never go back to this hosts property.”
