Tahoe Truckee Vacations
4.66Visit website
Tahoe Truckee Vacations's guest rating of 4.66 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract.

“Me, my family, and pups had an amazing time here. The location is unbeatable, just a short walk to Kings Beach, restaurants, and grocery store. The backyard was nice, my dogs enjoyed it. The kitchen had everything you needed and the home was cozy.”airbnb

“Hosts were communicative and responsive. We had a 6 night stay and feel like it could have been more prepared. There were no dishwasher pods (addressed the next day), the breaker for half the kitchen was tripped on arrival and we had to remedy that, the hand soap in the hall bathroom had water added to it (maybe for thinning at altitude?), and there was construction immediately across the street at condos. The construction isn't at the control of the hosts, but it's locally managed, and very clear that mass construction on the condos was ongoing prior to our arrival and lasted through our stay. If that was shared, we would have chosen another place to stay. The 7:00 wake-up by power tools, saws, and beeping machinery was tough when trying to enjoy a quiet retreat. We picked up two screws in the driveway and street from the construction and had to address flat tires twice. Closely located to amenities and easy access, but would have been nice to know about the construction when booking”airbnb

“This cabin has potential but is in desperate need of repair. Where to even start. The deck is quite literally falling away from the house and unsafe to walk on, with boards and nails also sticking up. The windows and doors aren’t sealed well and we saw a menagerie of caterpillars, spiders, and ants make themselves at home, including in beds. There is trash and rusty metal cans scattered the front/back yard. The hot tub cover is ripped open on the underside, and moldy. The soap dish in the shower is broken and sharp (and then covered with tape), and the shower has mold. Paint is peeling everywhere outside, and the concrete footbad at the base of the stairs is broken and out of place. The refrigerator is plugged into a power strip that’s exposed, and other outlets weren’t working. And the listing pictures don’t match reality. A decent amount of stuff is completely different and/or missing, and trees that make it look it nice have been cut down. I could go on, but I’m out of character…”airbnb

“The cabin is beautiful and has a lot of character, perfectly positioned and surrounded by nature. The management is awful, I genuinely feel sorry for the owner who has no clue about how his property is being managed. We found animal FECES on the floor in the master bedroom and they did not even bother sending someone to clean or giving me a call to apologize. “Thanks for flagging this”, absolutely absurd. They failed to show up to a set meeting and refused to call me despite several requests. I immediately contacted airbnb and managed to get a refund, overall the cabin was cleaned very poorly. We found lots of hair in the showers, ear plugs from other guests and random objects on the floor. Accidents can happen but refusing to take accountability is disgraceful.”airbnb

“The house layout and location were great, but the management and utility issues fell short for the price. The BBQ grill was broken upon arrival (despite confirming it with the host days before), and the WiFi was slow and intermittent. Communication with the management company was frustrating. They require contracts outside of Airbnb and consistently doubted the issues we reported. Beautiful property, but the customer service and attention to detail need improvement.”airbnb

“My family and I stayed at this place for a weekend and the view from the balcony was absolutely gorgeous. It’s a very quiet place with walkable distances to the lake, beach (both private and public), coffee and ice cream shop and the piers where you can relax, fish or just enjoy the gorgeous view of the lake. We did not get to enjoy the private beach because the access code that was given to us did not work. We tried reaching out but didn’t get a solid response. As far as the house goes, it was dusty, our pillow cases had streaks of dust on them which was weird because you’re required to do a lot of housekeeping stuff upon leaving. The checkout list was the longest I have seen so far because you’re required to do a lot of cleaning, laundry etc upon leaving (why cleaning fee then?). I hope the rules and cleaning will get better with time. Overall house 6/10; location 10/10.”airbnb

“We had a 12 hr power outage. Although not preventable or able to be fixed by the property manager, communication regarding the issue was extremely poor. There is no 24/7 maintenance or repair although it is listed. We received no updates unless we called and called again. There was no heat and fire starters were not provided until 8 hrs after we made the request. I asked if other accommodations could be checked in case power was not turned back on, and no help was provided. Overall the unit was nice and worked well for our stay. I could not get the lock box open since it was frozen over. Calling did not help since the manager could not understand the issue. It didn’t seem like they knew what a key lock box was. It also would have been nice to know that the unit was at the very top of the complex and 50 stairs needed to be climbed with all our luggage and ski gear in the snow and icy steps. As my teenage daughter said, I can’t believe we had to pay to stay here, they shud have paid us!”airbnb

“The management company charged fee for everything. I would not recommend this to anyone that I know day one was gone because we were not allowed to check in before 4pm if we requested check in before 4 pm there would be extra fee and similarly with late check out extra fee.”airbnb
