Tahoe Truckee Vacations

Tahoe Truckee Vacations's guest rating of 4.67 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract.

Overall satisfied. However explanation of amenities incorrect. There is no grill. Well there was one on the balcony locked up. On the fridge it says propane allowed. As a mater of fact its not allowed period. Which is not explained in the listing. The pans in the kitchen need to be replaced as food sticks bad. But other than that we were satisfied. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Considering hotel stay. Picked Airbnb as there were no hotels convenient to Tahoe city and lake side. Place not very clean when we checked in. Shabby view from the second floor balcony. First floor backyard is a common space. Celebrating my birthday with this weekend stay with my family of six. Expecting two car spots. Struggled to find a second spot. Sunday early check out by 10am did not allow a late Saturday. Overall did not feel relaxing and certainly not worth the money.

The house and area were beautiful! The house was very clean and in great shape. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you need. The description of amenities was a bit inaccurate. They listed a keurig coffee maker and a dvd player and neither of those things were in the house. We brought dvd’s from home to watch as a family and we were disappointed to not have a dvd player. We would’nt brought ours from home had we known there wasn’t gonna be one available. The keurig machine not being there was a problem as well. We brought coffee pods for our morning routine and could not use them. We messaged the host about those issues and they said they look into it and they never addressed it again. Also before we left home we asked if there were fans in the house because it’s the middle of summer and the house has no ac. They answered our question and told us there were fans in the house. That was inaccurate. They delivered fans the next day however. All in all a great trip and house.

The condo has everything you need. It is very spacious. The property is located in a good location, only 15 min from Kings beach. A few things I did see when I went to bed was that the closets and lighting were very dusty. There were several spider webs and spiders on both downstairs bedrooms and restrooms. The bed sheets on both downstairs bedrooms seems there were not washed. There was even a dead bat stuck by my bedsheet (corner hanging). Also the day I got to the condo at 4pm, the condo was not ready; two cleaning ladies had just got in with some bags and exited a few minutes later after we had got our belongings out from the car. Lastly, there were no car passes to place in the car. Other than these situations, the condo it self is very nice.

The place was exactly what we needed, walkable to the beach, hot tub was great and the area was private. Unfortunately, at the back entrance of the backyard there was a rusty nail that one of our party stepped on. Additionally the shower head had a leak that sprayed in your face, it was also not attached to the wall correctly. It seemed like management was aware of this issue since there was a paper towel wrapping the leak when we first entered the property. The check out instructions we felt were excessive, they had us strip the beds, start a load of laundry, take out the trash and start the dishwasher. Overall, while the location was beautiful and we had a great weekend considering the other issues we encountered and the cost, we think there are better options in the area.

The cabin is beautiful and has a lot of character, perfectly positioned and surrounded by nature. The management is awful, I genuinely feel sorry for the owner who has no clue about how his property is being managed. We found animal FECES on the floor in the master bedroom and they did not even bother sending someone to clean or giving me a call to apologize. “Thanks for flagging this”, absolutely absurd. They failed to show up to a set meeting and refused to call me despite several requests. I immediately contacted airbnb and managed to get a refund, overall the cabin was cleaned very poorly. We found lots of hair in the showers, ear plugs from other guests and random objects on the floor. Accidents can happen but refusing to take accountability is disgraceful.

The house layout and location were great, but the management and utility issues fell short for the price. The BBQ grill was broken upon arrival (despite confirming it with the host days before), and the WiFi was slow and intermittent. Communication with the management company was frustrating. They require contracts outside of Airbnb and consistently doubted the issues we reported. Beautiful property, but the customer service and attention to detail need improvement.

My family and I stayed at this place for a weekend and the view from the balcony was absolutely gorgeous. It’s a very quiet place with walkable distances to the lake, beach (both private and public), coffee and ice cream shop and the piers where you can relax, fish or just enjoy the gorgeous view of the lake. We did not get to enjoy the private beach because the access code that was given to us did not work. We tried reaching out but didn’t get a solid response. As far as the house goes, it was dusty, our pillow cases had streaks of dust on them which was weird because you’re required to do a lot of housekeeping stuff upon leaving. The checkout list was the longest I have seen so far because you’re required to do a lot of cleaning, laundry etc upon leaving (why cleaning fee then?). I hope the rules and cleaning will get better with time. Overall house 6/10; location 10/10.

We had a 12 hr power outage. Although not preventable or able to be fixed by the property manager, communication regarding the issue was extremely poor. There is no 24/7 maintenance or repair although it is listed. We received no updates unless we called and called again. There was no heat and fire starters were not provided until 8 hrs after we made the request. I asked if other accommodations could be checked in case power was not turned back on, and no help was provided. Overall the unit was nice and worked well for our stay. I could not get the lock box open since it was frozen over. Calling did not help since the manager could not understand the issue. It didn’t seem like they knew what a key lock box was. It also would have been nice to know that the unit was at the very top of the complex and 50 stairs needed to be climbed with all our luggage and ski gear in the snow and icy steps. As my teenage daughter said, I can’t believe we had to pay to stay here, they shud have paid us!
