Tahoe North Rentals
4.58Visit website
Tahoe North Rentals's guest rating of 4.58 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract.

“The property is in a good location. I like the surroundings. I just had an issue with the bad smell in the house where is more than what the host claimed to be a smoky scent, but it’s more of someone burned something that was not supposed to be burned in the house that caused us to be uncomfortable during the stay. I reached out to the host and they went to the house the next day and they offered to move us to a different place but we didn’t want want to split from our group as we rented 2 properties right next to each other. The company did refund us 10% of the cost of our stay.”airbnb

“Overall, we enjoyed our stay mainly because of the location. The area was beautiful, very walkable, and felt extremely safe. The property itself was cute and matched the listing photos well. However, there were several issues. The property is managed by a third party and required check-in through a separate app outside of Airbnb. Unfortunately, they accidentally sent us another guest’s Airbnb check-in information and stay details, which was concerning from a privacy standpoint. Inside the unit, the TV was very outdated with no streaming apps available, and you couldn’t download apps like Netflix or Paramount+. One of the beds appeared to have sand in the sheets upon arrival, and the shower water pressure was weak. We also wish the deck furniture had been better maintained. Several chair seats were ripped.. Overall, great location and cute space, but management and maintenance could be improved.”airbnb

“Location is great, walkable to public beach and included access to private community beach! I wish there was more info in the home about the house, how to operate things (like thermostat) how to access pool/beach/towels/ ect. The place was updated and had a really nice kitchen, bathroom, and comfy bed! The host was very responsive but seeing as we did have a few issues come up they did not help resolve any of them. There were several broken or non working things and the host never had a solution or fixed anything while we were there. Examples: Broken coffee maker, broken patio chair, broken vent fan in bathroom, tv not working due to outdated software and bad cable. The bedding and towels were washed/unused but they were old stained and covered in hair. So gross! The place was clean on the surface but after spending a few hours we were noticing a lot of dirty areas. The cottage needs a deep cleaning for sure and the host needs to help resolves issues when they arise.”airbnb

“There are a lot of unnecessary things and very small bathrooms. I don't recommend it.”airbnb

“Love this location for year-round fun. The unit was spacious and had a nice river view. Wish the unit had more towels because there's a hot tub in the complex. We also felt that Tahoe NORTH Rentals didn't communicate as well as other mgmt cos we've used in Tahoe.”airbnb

“Although I understand caveat emptor, I was disappointed and dismayed to find that if I'd booked a similar studio directly with the Franciscan I'd have paid approximately $520 for this long weekend instead of the nearly $810 charged through AirBnB. The host responded to my concern by citing the convenience of booking through AirBnB, which explains that the following weekend the studio would only have cost $570, and I would not have flinched at an extra $50. The actual $240 difference, however, left a bad taste in my mouth and was not addressed in the host's response, and then messaging was blocked. The place was lovely and I'll certainly consider staying at the Franciscan Lakeside Lodge again, but I'll book directly & recommend that you do the same.”airbnb

“Please read very attentively their policy as they have no mercy. I reserved the property and within a few hours after booking a snow storm hit and we couldn’t get access to the street to arrive at the property. They refused to negotiate any possible settlement. We lost two days of my booking and got to stay only for one night. The property was nice and clean, kitchen needs an update, and overall not matching the value for the price.”airbnb

“The house was clean and the location was acceptable. However, the property is managed by Tahoe North Rentals, and we were not satisfied with their hosting service. They were not flexible at all and did not help with early check-in or late check-out. Communication was limited to business hours and they were not solution-oriented when we needed assistance. During heavy snowfall we were stuck inside for two days and some basic kitchen items like sugar, salt, and spices , some pots were missing. And It would have been nice to have a few basic food items such as pasta or small drinks available, but there was nothing provided and no welcoming touches. Overall the house itself was fine, but the hosting service from Tahoe North Rentals was disappointing.”airbnb

“Overall content with our stay at this cabin. The kitchen is fully stocked with dishes and utensils. That came in very handy since we cooked most of our meals. The beds were comfortable but the comforters and sheets could use some updating as some of them had stains. Make sure to read all the amenities as there are items shown in pictures that aren’t in the house once you arrive, we were disappointed to arrive and realize this. Aside from this the cabin is in a good location.”airbnb

“The house was great and was in a great location, but we did have some issues during our stay. We were notified that the central heating in the home was broken but that the fireplace was still running and we would be provided with small portable heaters to keep somewhat warm. After arrival, we were unable to locate the portable heaters and unfortunately the fireplace does not warm up the entire home. We reached out to ask about the heaters but it was after hours. Needless to say, the first night were very uncomfortable as the bedrooms were freezing. Also did not help that the A/C would still blow cold air and the thermostat screen doesn’t work so we were unable to turn it off. Luckily we were provided two space heaters the second day which made the house warmer. We also had an issue with the fridge. Every hour, the ice maker in the freezer makes a loud clicking sound that lasts about 30 seconds. Overall the house would have been perfect other than the few issues we had.”airbnb
