Manager Review

Sunshine Realty

Sunshine Realty's guest rating of 4.68 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract.

We had a nice long weekend. It’s a great spot for a family of four..

This was our second stay at Seawinds, but our first in this unit, and it worked great for our family of five. The layout is worth noting: the first floor has two bedrooms, two full baths, washer/dryer, and the only truly shaded patio. The kids’ room comfortably fit our three children (10, 7, and 5). The second floor contains the kitchen, dining, and living areas, while the master suite is on the third floor. Families with younger children should know the master is separated by two flights of stairs. The kitchen was well stocked, the beach access is unbeatable, and the upstairs mini-split kept the master cool despite reviews mentioning heat issues. The only maintenance item we noticed was flickering lights upstairs. One frustration: we were told there were no beach items available and purchased our own, only to find chairs, boogie boards, and toys already provided. Aside from bringing beach towels, coolers, or a wagon, most families should be

The location of the condo had great proximity to the beach and the pool that was awesome! our main issue was the cleanliness of the apartment. The upholstery needs to be deep cleaned or replaced. the chairs, the couch, bedding, and the beds had stains. The outside patio was filthy. the floors in the condo upon our arrival needed mopping. once again upon our arrival, my wife had to clean the countertops because they were sticky and dirty. The bathrooms had mold in the ceiling of the showers. once again, the location of the condo was great. It was close to Publix, the beach, the pool everything was really close. My family and I had plenty of room in the apartment.

Place has roaches. We got there 14 minutes early could not check in until exactly 3. Not a big deal. The roaches was bad and moved us into a cheaper place further from beach. Told us to have travel insurance if need to change. I bought insurance because my mom had cancer and might had to leave because of her health. They did move us had pest control come out. He did say he was not able to spray the house we rented because someone was always in it probably why roaches was in it. We have stay with them in the past and had family and friends rent from them. Probably never again.

"Okay" seems like the most applicable word. The big selling point is the location - the property is great for the beach access and zero entry pool. The size of the property (3 bedrooms) will also meet needs for many families. We also appreciated the amenities they clearly stated weren't there (beach towels, coffee, and shampoo) even if we didn't use most of them because we planned otherwise. Location and size aside, it just felt sad and run down. There were various stains on furniture and ceiling, mismatched furniture, holes in towels, and the full size bed felt like I was sleeping on a bed of plastic (my friend said the master bed was comfortable). There was also no design aesthetic and nothing indoors (or on the patio) felt anything like a beach vacation. Still, because the location was great and the size was good for a family, I would consider staying again at the right price, just with much lower expectations (and I wouldn't assign anyone to that full size bed).

Overall, we had a wonderful experience in St Augustine. Loved the location and artisanal shops surrounding including the short walk to Old Town. Only bummer was they didn’t provide sponges and laundry detergent per stated in their starter pack which was not mentioned in their Airbnb listing. Additionally, we inquired around a late check out and did not receive any information back. Ultimately, it all worked out.

This condo was advertised as beach and tennis. So we packed all of our tennis gear to play. When we arrived we inquired about the tennis courts and the property manager- sunshine realty- said we had to ask at the tennis center that is located in front of the property. We walked around- it was maybe under construction but definitely not useable. There was no one to talk with. I rechecked the Airbnb add and my reservation confirmation to confirm this was indeed a tennis and beach property- it was. I sent screenshots of the reservation confirmation and the Airbnb ad, asking for details about the tennis courts. Sunshine property did not respond. To say we were disappointed was an understatement. In addition, overall the property was clean but when we used the dishes there was food residue on several plates and utensils.

The house, location, and amenities were fantastic—everything was exactly as advertised and made for a great stay. The only downside was that, for a home accommodating up to 10 guests over a 3-night stay, only four rolls of toilet paper were provided. Given the price of the rental, supplying a few extra rolls would have made a big difference and easily elevated this to a five-star, A+ experience. This felt like an oversight on the management company’s part and would be a worthwhile $5 fix at the dollar tree.

We arrived after a long travel day and found the location convenient for exploring the area. Unfortunately, we experienced several cleanliness and maintenance issues upon arrival, including mouse droppings inside the home, a broken lamp, a toaster that did not work, and dishes that were not thoroughly cleaned. These issues made the start of our stay more stressful than expected. With more consistent attention to cleanliness and maintenance between guests, this could be a much more comfortable experience.

We were not informed prior to renting the unit that the entire development is under construction and renovation. Each day from 8am until evening crews were working and it was very noisy. Painting, grinding, flame throwers etc. Much dust as they ground off some of the stucco wall material. The unit itself was fairly good but was not as clean as we expected. The pool area and pool were extremely nice.
