Stars of Boston's guest rating of 4.77 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract.

“Cute and quiet area for Boston! Nice places to eat and shop right around the corner. Spacious apartment and very cute balcony upstairs! Great stay.”airbnb

“My wife and I enjoyed a quick weekend, a very residential neighborhood but pretty close to the T and lots of restaurants within walking distance. The place is a small basement apartment, but it was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. And great proactive communication from the host - clear instructions, easy access, no issues.”airbnb

“Eine ruhige schöne Wohnung mit sehr guter Aufteilung und kleinen Balkon zum Innenhof. Die Lage war sehr gut, Restaurants und die T-Haltestelle in der Nähe, in schönem Brookline. Ich würde sie wieder buchen”airbnb

“The location was perfect — close to great cafés, restaurants, the New Balance Headquarters, and just a short walk to the Boston Landing commuter rail stop, which made getting around incredibly easy. The apartment itself was clean, cozy, and exactly what I needed for a short stay in Boston. It felt welcoming from the moment I arrived, and everything was thoughtfully set up for a comfortable visit. I’d happily stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.”airbnb

“Charming place in great location. Close to Central - so great access to restaurants, groceries and transit - but removed enough to be quite and peaceful. Host company was responsive and very straightforward on what was included, what would be charged, etc. Townhouse is as advertised - 4 level, each level is compact but together plenty of space for work, sleep, etc.”airbnb

“Is the location good, yes. It the space good, yes. That quickly no longer matters when there are hidden fees everywhere. For example, in the listing at the time (assuming they change it) it said there was crib and pack n play (on request). I've been using Airbnb for last 5 yrs since having kids, never had a pack n play listed that I had to pay for per day if I wanted too request it. Not only that, if it says there is a crib, then there should be a crib. Otherwise, why is it listed??? Yep. False advertising. Oh? You need parking yep, gotta pay for that per day too. Nope they won't advertise that before hand either. They only care about making money off of you at every chance. Literally, list a washer and dryer but once you get there , guess what? you have to pay for that too. Not worth it at all. There so many better airbnb hosts that actually understand the art of hospitality.”airbnb

“Great location, close to all amenities. Adequate space and provisions; coffee only supplied for 1-2 days regardless of stay length. Heating and hot water centrally controlled; showering during specific hours required of you want a hot shower - fluctuating temperature regardless of time”airbnb

“Entire house (no loud neighbors!) in a convenient location within walking distance to T, Whole Foods, the Charles River, Harvard, MIT. It’s set back from the street (which can make it a little hard to find for some delivery drivers even when given detailed instructions) but makes it extra quiet. Location is hard to beat. The interior is a little dated but functional. We had a water leak in the basement due to a frozen pipe. The property management company had it fixed in a reasonable time but we endured two days of loud noise while the problem was fixed. As “compensation” for the inconvenience we were offered a free parking pass for which we had no use since we had no car. And when I asked for a late checkout (after staying for 5 weeks) I was told to pay $45 per hour. Communication with the property management was slow. At one point early in our stay I had asked to extend our stay for two weeks and did not receive a response for 5 days. Good place but not the best management.”airbnb
