Manager Review

Sojourn

Sojourn's guest rating of 4.78 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract.

Great location, steps away from Dupont and metro access. Comfortably slept our group of 5 without problems, host was responsive and place was clean. Lots of noise upstairs, so maybe not a great fit for light sleepers, but otherwise a great stay.

My group absolutely loved their stay here! The host was responsive and extremely helpful. The place itself is right by everything you can need in VA Beach. I would come back here in a heartbeat!

Too much money for a dark basement. Small studio, small bathroom, shower curtain is too short, wet floor . At this price one expects better quality . Good location, good bed, decent closet. Overall, not a good experience for what they charge even for Washington DC. Will NOT come back.

Room was very small. No coffee, or tea provided. Did provide water but not sure if it was the host or other guest that left that since there was also food in the fridge that wasn’t ours. The bed is lumpy and sags in certain areas very uncomfortable. Not flexible on check in by any amount of time. Was told no early check in was allowed. The area rug was pretty old. Doesn’t look like it’s been cleaned in sometime. Only positive was the location, nothing more. I’ve been on Airbnb for 17 years and don’t leave too many neg comments but I believe if you’re in this industry, you better come close to what hotels offer; if not, why would anyone bother to stay in a Airbnb place at all!?!! E.g Hosts need to change mattresses and pillows at least every two years. I think the gift of a good night’s sleep is something all hosts need to strive for, for their guests.

Beautiful location however whole place needs maintenance & cleaning. Locks were all broken even on main floor, all windows so dirty can’t see through them. Lighthouse lookout is so dirty you can’t even stand out. Place was difficult to maneuver when we arrived but we figured things out like hidden light switches (and broken lock issues, needed house supplies which someone did promptly bring over). Locks on main floor were biggest issue, one broken I understand but everything - this shows careless hosting. Should’ve been fixed before I arrived.

at first I loved the spot but after the first day of being there washer went out took a week to get a new one the chairs had tape on them holding 'em together at the bar Had plumbing issues in light flickering issues, which we called for maintenance, and the guy came and did a crap job, leaving things undone. And half put back together. the washer went out as we left the water dispenser on the fridge quit working the garbage disposal side of sink would work sometimes? And then other times not the pans had the material flaking off dead, asked them to replace it.And they did so, but this place definitely needs some attention and fixing up

I'm going to be honest with you guys this was a terrible welcoming, first off Hanan front desk instead of saying welcome first thing he said was "this is not a hotel" like what who says that to a stranger and then anis front desk also telling me to "leave my drivers license or id" with him when i asked him why he couldn't answer me. Plus the key card still doesn't work someone from the Hilton side has to let us up everytime it's kind of annoying. For my first time being out here in dc this is a terrible experience so far so. The whole key to the unit situation needs more in-depth explanation for future bookers, i was told someone would reach out and make it up to me in the morning for my troubles the night before and that was a lie. But i understand i will be back in dc in the future just not at this place.

They had a plumbing issue- not their fault but seage in the shower and leaked into closet. Didn't know make right even though 2 designer shoes were ruined and couldn't 't use the apartment for a full day. Expected to be made whole - not even close. They kept asking for receipts for shoes!!! I took pics of the damage - but not good enough. They ask the impossible when you were clearly damaged
