“This place was beautiful and perfect for our visit. We were really able to relax and have a great time. No complaints at all and very fortunate to be able to spend time at a cozy (yet big) home that felt like the perfect lake vacation!”

“We had an amazing week at Blue Ridge Beach at Smith Mountain Lake. The house was well equipped and very spacious. The setting was peaceful and stunningly beautiful. The house felt like a home with all the right touches. Everyone enjoyed their time on the dock, in the lake and around the firepit. This was our first trip to Smith Mountain Lake and we fell in love with the area the minute we took in the vistas of the lake. A highlight of our trip was the sound of the ice cream boat. We were ready each night to purchase ice cream right from the dock! We are ready to book our stay for next summer, hopefully at Blue Ridge Beach.”

“We stayed here for almost a week with our 10 year old. The location was perfect, kitchen was well stocked, beds were comfortable and the space was great. We cooked and grilled every day and the access to the lake was perfect. The mid century decoration and record were a cool addition. A few things to mention to other renters: -If you have small children I would be very cautious on the deck. -You have to drive your trash a few miles down the road. -You cannot access the top deck of the dock building. (We couldn’t access the first floor either, but i think that was our error.) -The linen package we paid for only included bedding for 2 beds, nothing for the pull out sofa. We would definitely stay here again!”

“It was a beautiful location but far more isolated from the rest of the lake community than expected. The place was spacious and the pictures in the listing matched most items. There were a few items to be aware of before booking. There are extensive rules and most are not disclosed until 48 hours prior to your arrival, including the fact that you must drive all trash ten minutes away, or you will incur more fees. We were on a tight schedule with graduations and back-to-back events and that was very inconvenient/nearly impossible. We also didn't have a truck or other vehicle convenient to do that with fully loaded vehicles. The beds, with the exception of the master, were extremely hard (and I've stayed in many AirBnBs). The slope to the dock is also very steep and not shown in the pics (important if you have older people in your party). Otherwise, we were happy with our stay as it had many amenities.”

“The whole trip was great, and then we had to put all of our trash in our car (with our luggage) and take it to a dump. There really needs to be a trash service. Especially for those of us that do not have trucks.”

“A little expensive for what we used it for but otherwise ok. Trash will need to be taken about 10 minutes away which was inconvenient.”

“Overall, the stay was fine. The pictures do not match some of the furniture that is inside the home. You cannot use the closet in the master bedroom due to a keypad lock. There were a few clothing items left over by the previous renter. The master bathroom was a tad dirty. There was a lot of hair in and around the shower. We brought our dogs and they found tic tacs on the floor so I do not know if the carpets were vacuumed or not. Some of the blinds cannot be closed due to being broken. There is not a lot around the house itself. Closest Walmart was about 40 minutes away so come with everything you need. There is a small corner store that had a few essentials.”

“Great place for a family! The basement play space is awesome. The beds are comfy! The lot, while steep, is beautiful. It is wonderful!! Not a place to take elderly family members. Beware of pet fees. We have 4 dogs. We paid $600 to take our fur babies for4 days. If you have a good pet sitter, leave them at home!! It made our per day extravagant.”
