Manager Review

Scenic Stays

Scenic Stays's guest rating of 4.58 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract.

Upon arrival, the garage code did not work, and there was no hot water whatsoever. We called the dedicated number, and they were not familiar with Blue Mtn View at all, gave inaccurate info on beach parking, and advised a maintenance person would come out the next morning to attend to the hot water. They didn't. We found the water heater and plugged it in. There were dozens of nails and screws in the pool,... could have been an injury! We called Scenic Stays another two times during our stay about the garage code, with no response either time. The garage code still doesn't work. For the cost of this venue, the communication and followup was sorely missing.

Great place! Super quiet and host was great! I would say the only bad thing is it’s about an 11 minute drive to the beach. Then, probably 30-40 minute drive to dinner or putt or shopping. But great place!

It was a very great place just hard to get a ahold of anyone and had to go through a different website to do anything which was very hard to deal with and any time you called you would be on a wait forever or you wouldn’t even get an answer after sitting on the phone for 30 min to an hour but very beautiful place and very beautiful area just didn’t enjoy the communication

Location was great. Nice beach. Unit was quiet. Bathrooms were very old. Toilets did not flush correctly. Faucet in tub leaked continuously. Mirrors on majority of walls-very outdated. Other tenant in the building allowed large dog to poop in driveway and did not clean up.

Overall, it was a nice stay, in reality you’re just paying for the location, especially because there’s a lot of construction going on. There was an issue with the shower for too. It doesn’t drain all the way while you’re in it and the water is also coming out of the lower spout while the showerhead is on. Also in the description for the listing, there’s nothing that states that you cannot use your own umbrella and that if you want to use one, you will have to purchase one through La Vida. This information wasn’t provided until after booking and receiving the guest portal login where that information is given. I sent a message concerning this and received no response. There also was no checkout instructions which is fine I guess if you know the standard of what to do when checking out of an Airbnb.

Sundestin is not a tourist-friendly or budget-friendly place to stay because many important details are not disclosed before arrival. Although the hotel supplies bath towels and washcloths, guests are expected to wash them themselves during their stay, which becomes expensive because the hotel charges $2.50 to wash and another $2.50 to dry using the washers and dryers located on the property. This creates additional unexpected costs for guests, especially families or anyone staying for several days. None of these extra laundry expenses or expectations were clearly stated on the Airbnb listing or explained during check-in. In addition, the hotel is under active construction, causing loud noise early in the morning throughout guests’ vacations. The construction was also not properly disclosed until after arrival, making it difficult for visitors to relax and enjoy their stay. Overall, the hidden costs, lack of transparency, and constant construction make Sundestin a poor choice for tour.

Very annoying with the construction, and the hot tub was broke for our entire stay

We travel all over the world and I am OCD about cleanliness.Especially when I am away from home. The location was fantastic however, there was cut hair on the drawers in the bathroom(which tells me nothing was cleaned)the drain in the bathtub didn't work which just needs maintenance. It was dusty, the glass was dirty, and it made me question the last time the linens were actually cleaned.

This was an experience that I share with everyone. The customer service with the host was unsettling. Airbnb support services had to step in to address the issues and were very responsive. This was an avoidable experience that I hope other families do not have go through. Airbnb was great to work with and handled the situation professionally and fair.
