Scenic Stays
4.59Visit website
Scenic Stays's guest rating of 4.59 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract.

“The townhome was very clean, comfortable with great location but I have some issues the first day we arrived. The instruction on Scenic Stay portal said that one time the apartment will be ready the entrance code will be shown at the top of the page at portal but didn't happen like that. When I went to the gate and talk to the guard, he looked in list and I was not listed as well as any code, so I wait until 4:30pm and I ask the guard and nothing so I decide to call Scenic Stay number and the lady that answer sounds like she didn't know the community was gated. Finally, I got the code and then the swimming pool issues. This property is advertising in Airbnb as has access to a pool. The townhome has the club house pool behind, but none pool instructions was left until I started to call again and figured out that we don't have access to the club house pool neither to the one close to the beach and we need wrist band to access the beach. It was very disappointed after having paid for it.”airbnb

“Upon arrival, the garage code did not work, and there was no hot water whatsoever. We called the dedicated number, and they were not familiar with Blue Mtn View at all, gave inaccurate info on beach parking, and advised a maintenance person would come out the next morning to attend to the hot water. They didn't. We found the water heater and plugged it in. There were dozens of nails and screws in the pool,... could have been an injury! We called Scenic Stays another two times during our stay about the garage code, with no response either time. The garage code still doesn't work. For the cost of this venue, the communication and followup was sorely missing.”airbnb

“Location was great. Nice beach. Unit was quiet. Bathrooms were very old. Toilets did not flush correctly. Faucet in tub leaked continuously. Mirrors on majority of walls-very outdated. Other tenant in the building allowed large dog to poop in driveway and did not clean up.”airbnb

“Sundestin is not a tourist-friendly or budget-friendly place to stay because many important details are not disclosed before arrival. Although the hotel supplies bath towels and washcloths, guests are expected to wash them themselves during their stay, which becomes expensive because the hotel charges $2.50 to wash and another $2.50 to dry using the washers and dryers located on the property. This creates additional unexpected costs for guests, especially families or anyone staying for several days. None of these extra laundry expenses or expectations were clearly stated on the Airbnb listing or explained during check-in. In addition, the hotel is under active construction, causing loud noise early in the morning throughout guests’ vacations. The construction was also not properly disclosed until after arrival, making it difficult for visitors to relax and enjoy their stay. Overall, the hidden costs, lack of transparency, and constant construction make Sundestin a poor choice for tour.”airbnb

“Overall, it was a nice stay, in reality you’re just paying for the location, especially because there’s a lot of construction going on. There was an issue with the shower for too. It doesn’t drain all the way while you’re in it and the water is also coming out of the lower spout while the showerhead is on. Also in the description for the listing, there’s nothing that states that you cannot use your own umbrella and that if you want to use one, you will have to purchase one through La Vida. This information wasn’t provided until after booking and receiving the guest portal login where that information is given. I sent a message concerning this and received no response. There also was no checkout instructions which is fine I guess if you know the standard of what to do when checking out of an Airbnb.”airbnb

“Very annoying with the construction, and the hot tub was broke for our entire stay”airbnb

“I wouldn’t stay here ever again. Had to get a refund. The balcony door wouldn’t lock and they were unhelpful in getting maintenance there to fix it.”airbnb

“The location is everything on this property which is why we booked it. It’s pricey but being so close to the beach was the best experience for us. Unfortunately we were greeted with a broken bed and two fans that weren’t usable the first night and a rude customer service agent who hung up on me. The next day the bed and one fan was fixed but one still remained unusable. Additionally that’s when we noticed that the hot water wasn’t working, the dryer had issues and some TVs in the room also didn’t work. Again we had to call maintenance to come take care of the issues. We were a party of 10 getting ready for a photoshoot while maintenance was trying to fix issues with 2 rooms causing us to have to shuffle and rush to get ready. Having to reach out constantly to the host about issues was really frustrating for our party as we couldn’t just focus and enjoy our time. We were also promised compensation for our troubles and were not given any and the host has not responded about that topic.”airbnb

“This was an experience that I share with everyone. The customer service with the host was unsettling. Airbnb support services had to step in to address the issues and were very responsive. This was an avoidable experience that I hope other families do not have go through. Airbnb was great to work with and handled the situation professionally and fair.”airbnb
