“The property itself was very nice, clean, safe, and in a great area, and I definitely want to give them credit for that. Unfortunately, the biggest issue for us was the lack of effective air conditioning/cooling. The home became extremely hot and uncomfortable, especially at night. We had to sleep with fans blowing directly on us just to try to stay cool, and we woke up with sore throats and did not sleep well. We reached out during our stay because the heat was really affecting our experience, but unfortunately the issue was not resolved. I understand that not every home in Santa Barbara/Montecito has traditional AC, but I think future guests should be aware of the cooling situation, especially during warmer weather. Had we known how hot the bedrooms would get and how difficult it would be to cool the home, we personally would have chosen a different property. Overall, it’s a nice and clean home in a great location, but the temperature inside significantly affected our stay and slee”

“We were traveling with our three teenagers and a few of their friends. House was just perfect in terms of ease of use and location. The views from the master suite (where my husband and I stayed) were spectacular. Nothing like waking up to hear a rooster, maybe a coyote, and see the sun rise with a coffee maker a few feet away ❤️.”

“Unfortunately our plans to stay in the beach house for 3 nights ended before it even started. We had a hard time finding the house, unloading and entering the house was a challenge due to inconvenience parking and us having a senior dog. It had rained earlier in the day so when we entered the house there was an immediate odor of mildew/must/mold. Not your typical ocean smells. We contacted Airbnb immediately and were instructed to get a hotel room while they tried to contact the owners. 15 hours later the property manager finally contacted us and wanted to send an inspector over. The middle of the next day we heard that the inspector determined there was no unusual smell. Airbnb gave us a full refund along with covering our hotel room on the first night. We greatly appreciated their accommodation.”

“This is potentially a beautiful property with 5 bedrooms, a new kitchen, and lovely furnishings in the gathering areas. However, having planned a 3-generation family celebration we were very disappointed with this rental. The property was misrepresented in the listing. For example, just hours before we arrived (at 12:40pm) and our family had traveled to Santa Barbara, we received an email indicating that the outdoor kitchen and dining area are under construction and not available for our use. The email sent stated: "we wanted to make sure you were aware in advance and appreciate your understanding." In fact, the outdoor kitchen was under construction - with active work suspended for the 4 days we were there - and there was even a porto-potty onsite. Since our plans for the weekend included cooking and dining together outside, we would not have chosen this particular rental had we known that these features were not available. “The house is tight for a group and the space is quite loud. My mother-in-law woke up early the first morning and woke everyone up by making coffee. After that, we agreed to go to bed and wake up at the same time. The walls seem thin. As another reviewer wrote, all the rooms need better pillows. I forgot my Kindle at the house and the rental company charged me $71.00 to ship it back. Yard is beautiful and the location is great.”
