Sandy Beach Vacation Rentals

“The property has magnificent Gulf views. You can hear the sound of the waves 24/7. It’s an easy walk to a beautiful Beach. Sandy Beach was great with communication. The unit itself is OK, nothing stellar. It needs some TLC. The bed and sheets in master were quite good. The kitchen is nice, newer and well stocked except for some of the nonstick pans which are beyond where they can be safely used. The carpet is old, ratty and stained. Nothing I would touch with my bare feet. None of the screens to the sliders worked well and some not at all. There are other areas that need attention. I’m not going to go through them all. Could use someone who cares to go through the place to bring it back up to the standard it probably has been in the past. A keyless entry instead of a lockbox would be nice because having to constantly deal with the keys is kind of a pain and always a worry about losing. Especially if you’re at the Beach. Overall, the location is fabulous, the unit is OK.”

“Sandy Beach was responsive to our problem upon arrival. We arrived on a 92 degree day to a non working air conditioner. Within the hour they created a solution by moving us temporarily to a unit 2 floors up, just to sleep. They said the repair person could not come until the next morning, which he did and we moved in to begin our vacation around noon the next day. A delay in our vacation but not terrible. They said the AC company could not come the evening before however the tech that came and fixed it told us he would have been happy to have come the night before, they didnt even ask him. HMMM..... The rest of the trip was very nice. If you want a secluded beach, virtually no neighbors, and drive to do anything other than on the property, it is perfect. The staff at the pool told us and others, no pool floats whatsoever, noodles only. We complied, though others fought with him. We thought it said no 'large' floats but not the case. Nice large pool. Our unit 206 had no balcony breeze.”

“We enjoyed our stay overall and especially appreciated the beautiful view and the Keurig coffee machine. Unfortunately, just a few days before departure, we were informed that we had to check out one day early due to termite tenting maintenance. As we had an international flight, leaving a day earlier was not an option, so we had to arrange alternative accommodation at short notice. What was most disappointing was that we received no financial compensation for the additional costs this caused. While we understand that the maintenance was necessary, we feel the financial impact on us should have been taken into consideration.”

“Unfortunately, we were pretty disappointed with our stay. The location and beach are nice, but the condo itself left a lot to be desired, especially for what we paid. The condo was dirty when we arrived and there was sand throughout the unit. It also had a very noticeable musty smell that never really went away. Everything felt pretty dated and in need of some attention. The TV in the living room was also surprisingly small. The coffee maker was honestly disgusting and looked like it had not been properly cleaned in a long time, so we did not feel comfortable using it at all. The ice maker in the refrigerator did not work either, which was another inconvenience. The Wi-Fi was probably one of the most frustrating parts. Most of the time it barely worked, and when we could connect, the speeds were so slow that it felt like dial-up. Streaming or doing much of anything online was basically impossible. The beach chair and umbrella situation was also much more inconvenient than expected.”

“The home itself is beautiful, and the amenities were excellent. The host provided thoughtful extras, including beach towels, beach chairs, and umbrellas—everything you might need for a trip to Florida. While the house was very nice, the surrounding neighborhood appeared less well maintained than we expected. Several neighboring properties were unkempt, and our initial impression upon arrival made us feel a bit uneasy. An abandoned car with a broken window and flat tire was in front of the house. We ultimately didn’t experience any issues, but it’s something future guests may want to be aware of. Our main issue was arriving to find the home at 91°F—the same temperature as outside. This made our first day extremely uncomfortable. Unfortunately, the host was not very helpful or empathetic in addressing the situation, which added to our frustration. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and the location ended up being perfect. Very close to town and a lot of things to do. Would book again.”

“The condo was very nice but definitely not a place for children no float’s allowed at pool no drink except soft drinks no food or snacks, no horse play no shouting not my idea of a holiday with children they should make it adult only. If you’re not driving you are literally stuck unless you get Ubers everywhere which we did. The isn’t a shop within walking distance so getting online shopping was our only option to be ripped off and sent food which was literally past its sell by date mouldy mushrooms green tangerines etc etc all from Aldi , I wouldn’t recommend going with children”

“Our stay was okay overall, but we had maintenance issues that turned into a headache. The biggest issue was a hardwired fire alarm that went off randomly multiple times, including overnight, despite there being no smoke or fire. We also had a towel rack break during the stay. We reported both issues early on, but they weren’t fully addressed until after we escalated the situation (fire alarm went off 3 times in the middle of the night). They sent a handyman on day 3 of our 5 day stay, but the alarm continued going off. Finally (after another complaint) they had someone replace the fire alarm and fix the towel rack. Overall, the stay was okay, but the repeated alarm issues were pretty disruptive and the rental company didn't seem too eager to make things right. The property did not feel as well maintained as the reviews suggested.”

“Nice condo with beautiful views from balcony. The noise at night from the bar across the road was excessive and made it difficult to sleep. It was advertised as an end unit but it wasn’t. Lastly, the tv was confusing to operate.”

“Air conditioning in one of the bedrooms, never worked only the blower then they came to fix it said they couldn’t and not even the blower worked at that point. Temperatures got up to 90° and there was never any air conditioning in the one bedroom They said she could not find the remote for the ceiling fan in either bedroom even the one without air-conditioning worked the entire time. host offered to bring me a fan, which at that point was laughable. exterior of the property patio yard, etc. not very nice at all pillows to patio set filthy. I never responded back to them about the fan and never heard from them again. I paid 2200 and something dollars and stayed in a place with a broken air conditioner and 90° weather. In any basic hotel, I would’ve been able to move to another room. Nothing was ever offered to me no compensation no hay will knock off a few bucks. Nothing.”

“This place is in a great location, but left a lot to be desired. They don’t make it clear but the place is “self catering” which means you are supposed to provide your own beach towels, soap, toilet paper, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, etc. I think for the price some of these things should really be included. Also the beds are uncomfortable and squeaky and I think one of the blankets gave me a rash”
