Sand Hollow Resort Vacation Rentals

“Clean, spacious home with comfy beds, plenty of parking, and a pool the kids loved. However, you can heat only the pool OR hot tub and must call the front desk to switch. One receptionist was extremely rude; the handyman and other staff were great. The TVs are outdated, not smart TVs. Living room DirecTV failed before the BYU–Notre Dame game, and staff couldn’t fix it, so we watched on an iPad. No broom, and the vacuum scattered spilled cereal. Kitchen utensils, dishes and cookware were limited, with only basic spices, no sugar or creamer, one dishwasher pod and three trash bags for the entire stay. The cheap coffee maker leaked every use. Ice got stuck in the maker and spilled onto the floor when removed. A few inexpensive upgrades could have made this a five-star stay, but for what we paid, we were disappointed.”

“Cool design with some great features, but there were a few things that could use improvement. Pros: * Beautiful design with a great mix of indoor and outdoor living spaces. * Rooftop fire pit with pretty views. * Comfortable, cozy beds. * Nice showers * Filtered water from the refrigerator Cons: * Not enough basic supplies for a larger group * Check-in was delayed, which was incredibly frustrating, especially since I arrived at the agreed-upon time. * The rooftop fire pit area hadn’t been properly cleaned. There were empty beer cans and used cigars left behind. * The pool could use some maintenance. * Cobwebs around the property made it feel like the cleaning could have been more thorough. * The bathroom layout is unusual and not very functional for groups. One side of the house has three bathrooms, including two in the same room, while the other side has two bedrooms with access to only one bathroom located inside a bedroom. This makes sharing bathrooms awkward.”

“This stay was a great space for our large family; everyone had enough space to be social and interact. The rooftop patio was fantastic for star gazing! So many shooting stars. Everything we needed was available.”

“Sand Hollow Resort has favorable location, amenities, and updated rooms. I have stayed in a couple of condos here and enjoyed them all! The only thing I didn't love is that our supplies were not adequate. Our unit didn't come stocked with paper towels, garbage bags, dryer sheets, or a sponge to wash dishes. We ran out of toilet paper on our second day-and when I called for a replacement it took two hours. Holiday weekend demand likely is the reason for lack of household supplies. Also our pantry was locked so food storage was limited. The resort is beautiful but I would highly recommend that people provide their own household goods and ensure meal planning down to each supply is done thoughtfully.”

“I loved everything about this place. The only thing I didn’t like was the windows that were high up near the ceiling didn’t have blinds and they woke me up every morning. I need a dark place to sleep not a 5 AM. Wake up call because they don’t have blinds.”

“This was one of four houses rented for an annual off-roading trip. This house was not the worst but not the best. This was also a house we stayed in last year, and none of the things that needed fixing last year were repaired this year, which is incredibly disappointing. Although still beautiful, things are in need of repair. We still love the location, convenience, and overall size of the home for our large group”
