I read the reviews and knew that the downstairs restaurant noise can be loud until 10pm. Unfortunately, on Thursday nights, the noise from the employees throwing trash in the bins right behind/under the apt went on until past 11pm. There’s a large construction project going on one side of the block across the street. This makes parking extra limited. On Friday morning, trash trucks and construction noise started at 6:40 am. The building is very old, with old doors and windows which means the outside noises were extra loud. So overall, terrible sleep situation. A couple of other inconveniences. Some of the bins in the apt had other people’s trash in them when we arrived. We had trouble with getting stuck in the bedroom or bathroom bc the super old door knobs don’t turn reliably. It smelled a bit like trash generally, I assume, from the restaurant bins below.

Our stay in the Little House in Pacific Grove was the greatest stay we’ve ever had there. It was a dream come true to stay in a place so full of history and charm.

Have stayed in dozens of AirBnB’s and this the kind you wish was your home. Beautiful architecture. Immaculate baths & kitchen. Lots of living space with new and comfortable furniture. Would def stay here again and recommend to anyone heading to Carmel.

We had a great stay at this house! Very quiet area but close to street with coffee shops etc.

Old PG charming house that's been nicely renovated. Has most everything you need. Walking across the street to look at Monterey Bay is lovely.

The house was clean, comfortable and very accessible to the beach, the ocean and to Pacific Grove. Lovely view. The disappointment (which was important) was that the one bedroom was a part of the living room area. The accessible bathroom to this bedroom and living room was through the dining room, the kitchen, the laundry area and then into the bathroom. For two couples it made it difficult for the couple sharing the living/bedroom area to have later evening privacy.

Great location and comfortable space. A few hiccups that were unexpected due to the price of the place. All cooking pots were nonstick, even though nonstick has been proven to be unsafe. Especially for the price of the place, wish they would have provided stainless steel. 4pm check in with 10am check out feels rushed, at least 11am for check out would have been appreciated. Communication was lacking- they did not tell me that a repair person was coming for the fridge until they were already on the way. No heads up about the fridge having issues or anything.

Should be stated that it is not safe due to internal and external stairs for small children, elderly or disabled. Windows inside while on a hill did not have screens, if opened small children would fall at a detrimental height. No offering to block open spiral metal stair case downstairs that would also presented danger to a child. After leaving for a day of activities, we noticed someone also entered the property to take tools left on the patio. Garbage outside was overflowing with no ability to take trash out. When contacting host, no response was provided during stay. It was extremely unnerving that someone would have entered the property without proper notification. Would highly recommend better descriptions of home and limitations for children, elderly and disabled.

As repeat guests (our 6th or 7th stay), we love this home and appreciated the recent improvements. On our second night, the dishwasher leaked heavily, soaking the floors. The kitchen rug pad had visible mold and smelled strongly, forcing us to put it outside due to our son's mold sensitivity. There is likely mold under the flooring now. We sent photos to management, but despite assurances it was sent to operations, nobody ever showed up to check on it. The blinds upstairs in main bedroom were a little creepy - weirdly stained, challenging to put up and down. Overall though, this is a lovely house, I hope they addressed the dishwasher issue after our departure and remediate any mold properly. Beach homes are notorious for mold, I get, but this might either be an ongoing issue, or one that needs to be addressed quickly.
