“We enjoyed our stay. The location was central to many of our planned outings. About 20 minutes from zoo, Mission Beach, La Jolla, downtown and airport. The main complaint were the airplanes. This may have been our bad luck with the wind because it wasn’t constant. But it sounded like aircraft was taking off and landing over us from 6am much of the time. The house and yard were very cute and clean. The beds were comfortable.”

“It’s a nice, quiet place with a beautiful ocean view. The only downside is that the furniture is old and showing signs of wear. It would be an even better place if the furniture and windows were updated. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and had a pleasant experience.”

“Nice location. Apt is a little beat up. Parking was a struggle with other tenants not staying in their spot. Doesn’t have AC.”

“Positives: The #1 best part is the location on the beach, which outweighs the negatives. Beautiful view and walkable to everything. The pier is right next door and little park/grassy area to take dog for potty breaks. The place is updated and clean. It has the basics for light cooking. Parking is good and there is a parking lot steps away if you have day visitors. The bed is very comfortable. The bathroom vanity is newer. Negatives: No coffee maker, no closet. Being near the parking lot and pier can get noisy in the bedroom with window(s) open - quiet when closed though. The sleeper sofa may be ok for a smaller child or two, not adults/teen. The bathroom vent/fan didn't work, so it was stuffy, damp and smelled weird. I happened to bring a small fan and used that to help ventilate. The shower is very small, it worked for me, but a larger person may have issues. Overall, it is a 9/10! I would highly recommend for an individual, couple or couple with small child, and a small/med dog.”

“While we did enjoy our stay and location. The only thing is the inaccurate listing, the listing stated 3.5 baths, but in the more detailed description of the space, it says the actual 2.5 bath, that should be corrected. Also the main photo of the property is deceiving. It shows the multi-level pool house, which anyone would have thought to be the main house. That pool house was not a part of the rental, it does say that in the details, but it is deceiving at first glace.”

“What’s the biggest issue with this Airbnb? We rented was upon arriving the entrance to the Airbnb was being blocked by another vehicle. A person from the Airbnb staff was present and they suggested that I called the customer service number that was attached to Airbnb. Which I did upon calling the customer service number they were extremely rude. I had my entire family outside all of our luggage outside with nowhere to place it nowhere to go, and the woman that I spoke to from the Airbnb customer service line told me she doesn’t know what to tell me that she put in the request for them to contact me and they should be in contact within three or four hours I guess for the amount of money we paid for this Airbnb the friendliness could’ve been a little bit better. Other than that, the property was amazing And we still had a great time”

“I had a very bad experience with my host, I believe it was Trisha. She had a terrible attitud from the start, I felt like I was doing something wrong as soon as she answered the phone. She never stopped to try and help with me, she just immedialty yelled at me as if I was doing her a favor to rent her apartment. Which BTW is not even hers, which is even worse! Because she works for a company. The problem was that our check in was until 3pm and we arrived at 11am, and I called to see if there was anything we could do, or some place we could leave our luggage. She just went off, and started yelling and saying that my check in was until 3pm. So I looked for the apartment and found that the cleaning service had finished our apartment. So this Trisha person could have offered me an early check in, or maybe even done a small effort in calling to see if by any chance it was ready, but no. She did nothing. Instead she just charged me $200dlls for leaving my luggage and yelled at me.”

“The location and roof top was exactly what we were looking for. The kitchen was big with nice appliances. The basic necessities were there but there needs to be maintenance done on the place - roof flooring, electrical and doors/security.”

“Cleanliness could have been better, and the kitchen lacked basic utensils and supplies.”

“Location right on the beach is incredible, easy to spend your days on the beach and hear the waves from the house! Plenty of great places to eat within walking distance. For the price, we were surprised the house wasn't cleaner and did not have any information about the house or recommendations for the area. It lacked basic amenities in the kitchen, however they are not listed on the listing. The pinball machine in the advertised game room does not turn on. The dryer is very noisy and unable to be run while people are sleeping.”
