Rivers Retreats Properties
4.75Visit website
Rivers Retreats Properties's guest rating of 4.75 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract.

“DO NOT STAY HERE. The AC struggled to keep the home cool, the garage access was unreliable, and the fenced yard was not secure for dogs. There were holes in the fence and sections coming apart, so I couldn’t safely let my dogs outside. There was also a strong pet odor throughout the home. As an animal lover, I assumed previous reviews about the smell were exaggerated, but in my experience they were accurate. It was especially noticeable when the AC wasn’t working properly. The communication was the most concerning part. After I explained I wasn’t available during scheduled repairs, the host told me he would let repair personnel into the home using the door code while I was away, despite my not consenting. As a solo mom traveling with my young child, this made me feel uncomfortable and unsafe. I asked that all communication go through Airbnb Support, but the host continued contacting me directly. I spent several nights elsewhere and would not stay here again.”airbnb

“Ten tries on door lock before open. Thought we had wrong code. Also took several tries to lock. I recd notice of WiFi code but hard to find the message when needed. Dish washer isn’t hooked to water and wasn’t told until recd checking out info. We pulled everything out to put in sink.”airbnb

“Thank you for hosting us. While the location was convenient, the cleanliness did not meet expectations.”airbnb

“My stay was terrible from the beginning when i was having trouble with code to get in, please if you don't want the police to be called on you and neighbors stocking and a host causing assumptions. This is not a peaceful stay nor great host.i came here to getaway from the city and heal, end up being a nightmare traumatizing experience i can not afford or have my time wasted on such pettiness. “poco agradable ya que las fotos no coinciden con la limpieza del patio y el jacuzzi que se mostraban”airbnb

“Our family was very disappointed. Our young adult kids and their partners were celebrating the oldest daughter’s 25th birthday. We are an active family and picked a home that we thought would provide a fun place to stay regardless of the weather. The hot tub did not work the minute we arrived and there was never an attempt to fix it. Based on previous reviews, it appears the hot tub has not been working properly for about 8 months. This should have been disclosed at the time of booking. Further, the ceiling fan in the master was not working and this was also a previous problem. They allowed dogs, but charged us extra for our 15lb pocket puggle (3rd dog). And tried to charge us extra for an early check in as the check-in is so late at 5pm. After many messages they allowed a 3pm checkin with no additional fee. We did enjoy how spacious the home was, and the butler pantry was a nice touch. No room to play pool, no grill and we could have used more towels. We won’t be back.”airbnb

“We had paid for the heated pool and hot tub. The pool hadn't been cleaned in a very long time, and was unusable. The hot tub was fine. The house was clean, but the garage where we parked the car was full of leaves, and I mean full! We were tracking leaves into the house from the garage. If the pool had been cleaner, and the garage cleaner, it would've been 5 stars, but we can only give 4 with those issues.”airbnb

“The bathroom towels smell pretty bad and sheets, no internet we resend it and didn’t work. Also we wash the towels and didn’t help with the smell. There was only one shampoo in one of the bathrooms. The over bathroom didn’t have anything of shampoo or Condition or body wash.Overall the house needs cleaning.”airbnb

“Homes too crowded together. Cars everywhere. Left a box of canned goods in the front yard and somebody stole it from us. Not enough space to park both cars, dirty floors and outlets not working. No workspace. Construction behind house. Dirty floors gave us black foot. Needs updating. Only benefit was it served its purpose for our stay. Had a yard for service dog. And was close to local food and shopping.”airbnb
