“House looks like horrible, too dirty”

“This was a very safe convenient stay. The location was safe and peaceful. The house itself was very clean.”

“Needed a place to stay while traveling to a graduation party. Check in was at 5pm which was later than I was expecting since most of time is around 2-3pm. Host did accommodate an earlier check in for an additional 100 bucks which I was bummed about. But place was clean and we made it work. Had issue with locking place up host did respond but was annoying to have to deal with since this made me late to my next day brunch. Hopefully this will get fixed for next guest.”

“This is the only time in my decade of using Airbnb that I am rating a place 2 stars. While it doesn't feel great, I couldn't justify giving the place any more. There were some pros, but there were way more cons. Pros 1. Nice location 2. Big 3. Clean Cons 1. The hot tub was not working for our entire stay 2. For a house that fits up to 12, it is poorly stocked - there were maybe 4 glasses, very few plates, one small pot, and one (maybe two) small pans. But somehow 3 colanders? There was barely any coffee, no essentials like oil, very few paper towels, very little sugar, etc. 3. The description says it gives you enough toilet paper for short days - false. We were 12 people and were given a roll per bathroom, none of which were new 4. none of the outlets in any of the bathroom worked 5. The place is poorly furnished - a lot of empty space did not feel homey 6. Many of these concerns we raised to the hosts and were just told - they would contact X person. Honestly, Never helpful”

“Checked out early. Dryer was broke, dishes were cracked and chipped, not all the lights worked, stair railing was loose, 1 shower has no hot water. Complained multiple times and kept getting told maintenance was on the way. Finally on 3rd day involved Airbnb support and still took hours for someone to finally show up and still didn’t fix everything. Did provide new dishes and knife set but overall terrible experience. Had booked for 22 nights and left after 3. Hope Airbnb inspects and removes listing until brought to reasonable condition. Also homeless all over and street parking is extremely difficult to find”

“The stay was generally good, but there were issues with the bathroom amenities as some were dirty. We ended up buying our own supplies. While the host responded, the resolution was minimal and mainly focused on addressing it with the cleaning company for future stays and not for us.”

“Check-in time was 5pm which is later than usual. We arrived in town earlier than expected and asked if we can check in as soon as the cleaning crew were done. Host said he would check and get back, but never did. We just waited in the area until 5pm, which is no big deal. There were lots of cars parked on both sides of the streets from one end to the other. To our surprise, there was an extra living space with two couches in the upper level which was nice. None of the TVs in the home worked. The one downstairs turns on, but no channels. 3 remote controls and only 1 had batteries. We bought batteries, but still couldn't get cable turned on. The TV upstairs wasn't hooked up. It's just sitting on the floor. The description had mattress top, but only the master bed did. All other beds were extra firm. I still gave it 5 stars overall because we felt safe in the area. The neighbors are quite. The house is very spacious and there were lots of room for everyone. Linens and beddings were fresh”

“We experienced several issues that impacted both comfort and safety. The home was not clean at arrival (hair, including from pets throughout and dirty floors). - A hallway vent was loose and broken and not repaired after being reported, which was a safety concern and affected airflow upstairs. - There was a large temperature difference between floors with no fans provided. - Communication was inconsistent. We requested a late checkout in advance and had to follow up multiple times. The host did not respond until checkout time, after cleaners had already arrived. - Both garage door handles were broken. One interior door unexpectedly locked from the inside, resulting in a family member being temporarily trapped while home alone. This is a serious safety concern that needs attention. - Due to cleanliness issues, maintenance concerns, and safety risks, we would not recommend this property for families, particularly those with children.”

“The stay was very disappointing and did not meet basic expectations. There were multiple serious issues throughout the stay, including no internet for the first few days, a dishwasher that was not working properly, rusty and unpleasant-smelling water from the tap, and a strong cigarette odor throughout the entire house. The cigarette smell was deeply absorbed into the mattresses and pillows, making it very uncomfortable to rest. This was especially concerning as the guests included children who were expected to live in the home, sleep there, and use the water for bathing and cooking. Although there were attempts to address some of the issues, they were not resolved properly or in a timely manner, and the impact was felt during the entire stay. I strongly recommend that all of these issues be fully resolved before hosting future guests.”
