“When we arrived the hot tub was at 65 degrees and this is the main reason we came to this cabin. We were told they drained it that morning but we weren’t able to use the whole trip. The did credit us $100 but kind of ruins the experience. This cabin has a beautiful view that can’t beat. The interiors rooms are good and kitchen. TVs are a little dated. Cabin was dusty and noticeable dirt on the floor if you didn’t have shoes on. Hot tub is not as pictured, very old and dirty, the cover is completely falling apart. Also could use chairs around fire pit as the benches are not comfortable. Like I said we booked for the main picture on their page the beautiful hot tub view and we couldn’t use it. The road is also a single lane gravel road that is extremely rough and there is no address on the end of the driveway or as you pull up to house. The view is great and if you only care about that you are good. If you like the amenities they are a little beat up. Grill is also old and burners rusty”

“The home was nice but it's in the middle of the woods and you definitely need 4 wheel drive or you can't get up the driveway. Garage wouldn't go up and asked for help immediately at check in and 3 other times during stay with no response from the owners. We have stayed at numerous places and have never had a issue with response issues.”

“Our stay was nice overall, but there are several areas that could be improved to elevate the guest experience. I didn't realize before booking, the home is very close to a busy road, so traffic noise was noticeable, and heard from the otherwise lovely backyard deck overlooking the river. Some towels and the living room rugs were stained. The grill worked but was in poor condition and had a hole in the bottom. The main bedroom mattress was uncomfortable, as you could feel the springs. We ended up using the smaller bedroom, where the bed was more comfortable. For the nightly rate, we expected the home amenities in better overall condition and more well-maintained. We also found conflicting information between the property management company emails and Airbnb post, particularly regarding trash procedures. Also the wifi router and Airbnb post had different passwords. Clearer, consistent information would improve the guest experience.”

“The home was clean and a great value, beautiful view, plenty of space. However, I was surprised by all of the strict rules communicated and posted throughout the house. I'm sure the owners have had issues with previous guests which prompted all these rules. But it definitely made myself and my family very nervous we would be charged every time we found something broken (mostly normal wear and tear stuff) that wasn't our fault. I was originally going to being my dogs since they are pet friendly but decided not to last minute. I'm glad I didn't because of the pet fee and rules. Overall, it was a great homebase for us as we did alot of hiking, but I would only recommend going if you have a group of very respectful adults.”

“The view is excellent, and the deck is a great to relax. Cushions for outdoor seats would have been nice to have. We locked ourselves out of the house 5 minutes after getting there, our fault, but it took 3 hours for assistance. House rules were difficult to navigate. Information was spread across Airbnb messages, text messages, and the house manual, and the instructions did not match. The upstairs remained too warm during our stay. Sauna did not work. Hot tub only worked 2 out of 5 days. Toilet paper was limited to two roles for family of 5 for a week! Not cool. Grill temp controls not working. Mouse droppings in basement on pull out couch. Kids were afraid to use the downstairs after this. For the price, this place should have been ready. After the mouse droppings and delay getting us in, we did not want to bother complaining all week, so to be fair, we didn't let owner know of the subsequent problems. I'd prefer using small business vs large managed properties in the future.”

“Great views & super clean cabin. Plenty of room with master on top level with onsuite bathroom, bedroom on main level with 3 beds & full bath, bedroom in basement with 3 beds & full bath. Also, has 2 kitchens, 2 living areas (main & basement), a great hot tub, gas grill, fire table, & everything you need to cook meals if you wish. Road leading to cabin is steep but not as bad as it sounds in the description. Really don’t need a 4x4 or AWD vehicle. In winter with snow, yes, but otherwise no. Management company did not communicate very well. Left several messages on AirBB site with no replies. Had to call the maintenance guy & he answered but then never came by the house to unclog the toilet. Communication was lacking but all in all we didn’t need much. I would stay here again due to the views, cleanliness, & roominess. Great property!”

“Beautiful place.. loved the privacy and the surrounding woods and everything was stocked well and very comfy. Would stay again. The only thing I had an issue with was that in the listing is says pets welcome with the fee but didn’t go into details. Once it was too late to change the reservation they sent out all the detailed rules and I ended up having to spend 300$ on crates because they weren’t allowed to be in the property alone without being crated. Understandable but I wish I would have known before booking bc I had to purchase and bring crates for 2 big dogs. I also didn’t know they couldn’t be on any furniture without incurring a large fee. (I always just use my blankets for them to lay on)Then in the house there were signs posted with different charges than what I was charged. I paid 100$ each dog and the signage said 1/2 that cost—very annoying. Overall it was a great stay but those things need told up front and signage should be consistent with listing”

“This stay was extremely disappointing and did not meet basic expectations. One of the most serious issues was the heating. The cabin was extremely cold. The only heating sources were very small floor heaters and an insufficient window AC unit, which did not properly heat the space at all. The only way to keep the cabin warm was by constantly adding wood to the fireplace throughout the night, which is not reasonable or practical as the primary heat source for a rental. We made the mistake of booking this property despite it having very few reviews and no established Airbnb rating. We trusted the listing description and photos, assuming basic comfort standards would be met. Unfortunately, this was not the case. Booking a place without a solid review history turned out to be a serious risk and a lesson learned. Another major reason we chose this place was the hot tub, which was not usable as advertised. “The views are AMAZING! I picked the location for the views, hot tub and for privacy and it didn’t disappoint with any of them. The home had a good layout for our family and provided enough space for us. The bad: The cleaning staff wasn’t detailed. Some was addressed with the staff and they provided a solution thankfully. We just felt it should have been addressed prior to a guest finding it. Getting to the house could have used a little better directions as GPS won’t find it. They warned us of this but their typed directions were still lacking. The listing agent has documents to review that feel like you’re buying a home, not renting one! There were a number of outlets or appliances that didn’t work or work fully. None was a big deal accept the oven. It was hopefully a pilot light being out for future guests. Overall this place is great. Private, nice home and offered a lot. Some minor adjustments from the management and it will be 5 stars for the next guest.”

“Pros: The cabin is big and comfy. Prettier than pictures with nice views. Ping pong was a big hit! The hosts provided games, a fire pit, and a grill. They also had a nice kitchen. We had a pest free experience which is great for a cabin in the winter. Driveway was big. My group did not use the hot tub, but it looked nice. Cons: They provided 1/3 a bottle of soap for 3 bathrooms (total). They only included a roll of toilet paper per bathroom. They did mention prior to arrival, but this did come with frustration as we had booked by that point. We also noticed that the water had a strong sulphur smell, which I messaged about. I also mentioned musty quilts in the basement. They offered to replace linens and mentioned that the water is clean but the smell doesn’t go away. This should’ve been mentioned in the listing imo. I messaged the second night about issues with the fire place but they took 2 days to reply and offer maintenance, which I declined because I was leaving the next day.”
