Porter Vacation Rental Management's guest rating of 4.72 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract.

“Great house and amenities. Easy to check in and we enjoyed our stay. Home was well kept and had everything we needed for our stay. The bonus beach towels were awesome to have readily available to us. Definitely recommend to others and would stay there again anytime.”airbnb

“May 2026 stay . Here with our immediate family, 7 adults total. Everyone loved the place, pool, location. Only a minor glitch with front door code not working, but they responded within 20 minutes. Loved the historic home. I took way too much extra toiletries, toilet paper and paper towels based on previous reviews. All those extra items were not needed. Plenty of shampoo, conditioner and body wash in each bathroom. After 3 days and showers twice a day for all, there was still plenty left over. Hand soap at each sink , small bottle of Dawn dish detergent, dishwasher pods and laundry detergent. Kitchen well equipped. Also, the host answered extensive questions weeks before arrival and always polite and helpful. Can’t wait to come back again!”airbnb

“We stayed here for about a month after an impromptu disruption back home. The house is exactly as described. The pictures match the place very well. I cook a lot and have all the kitchen gadgets. I can attest that the kitchen is very well stocked. I was very thankful for the basic condiments like some sugar, coffee, coffee filters, salt and pepper being available. For families with little kids, the backyard is nicely fenced and my children enjoyed playing outside. The host was gracious enough to provide toys too. They were neatly labeled with indoor and outdoor toys. You can tell that a lot of thought and care went into setting up the house and anticipating their guests' needs. My in-laws also visited and appreciated that there weren't many stairs and that the house was one level. Overall, we enjoyed our stay, slept and rested comfortably, and would recommend it to anyone.”airbnb

“The location was fine &in walking distance to grocery store&beach. We had booked this for a Thuraday-Monday with a late check-in (after midnight) for 2 adults&1 teenager. The security guard was pleasant&helpful when check-in& took payment for parking. When we first walked in there was an oder; this was from urine being left in the toilet. My daughter tried sleep in the bunk bed until bugs started biting her. We checked all the beds&found that we were left with dirty sheets with stains& bugs. The spare sheets for the pullout couch had long dark human hair all over them. The couch has never been pulled out& cleaned under. The carpet is sticky&stains your socks. The pots/ pans,&dishes were all dirty&greasy;we prewashed before cooking/eating. We found a large dead cockroach next to coffee mugs that is visible without moving anything. We requested a 30% reimbursement, they were only willing to give 8.5% reimbursement. All our issues were health code violations and serious cleanliness issues”airbnb

“They’re not clear about the use of the Jacuzzi turn on and the BBQ doesn’t have Gas to use it.”airbnb

“Don’t book this house if you want to sleep in and enjoy your morning. Checkout is 10:00 a.m. If you want a late checkout, they’ll charge you $75. Not mentioned is the steep, narrow staircase that is difficult for an adult to navigate and downright dangerous for a child. When checking in, it was unclear which house was ours, as there were two at that address and the second one is hidden in the back. Upon finding the house, the key was in the door and not in the lockbox, therefore, the house was unsecured. There’s also a ridiculous amount of tasks to do upon checkout. Basically, it’s everything that’s wrong with AirBNB.”airbnb

“We really enjoyed our stay here. The place was cute and clean. Really well stocked kitchen, community amenities were nice, view was great. I only have one complaint and that was the A/C. Upon check out they ask you to turn it down to 78 and that was we walked into upon checking in and it took about a full day for the place to cool down, and it didn't really get below 74. As a bunch that run on the hot side, that really wasn't ideal and led to some sweaty nights.”airbnb

“There was no toaster in the unit. The shower curtain had mold. The unit needs some tlc -paint, a deep clean, and updated items in the kitchen. The front desk told us when we checked in we would receive a partial refund because the pool and hot tub would be closed on Monday and Tuesday for repairs. When I messaged the host they said I would not be receiving a refund because the front desk is not authorized to offer refunds. This sounds like a miscommunication between the fromt desk and the host and I should receive the refund I was promised.”airbnb

“Had a major roach issue and had to cut our vacation short. This was very disappointing because we were looking forward to having a relaxing Easter vacation for months. Kept host informed of the issues but felt the situation was not being taken seriously enough. They offered to have pest control come out or have someone drop bug spray but neither of these solutions were ideal. Two days after we left I still had not gotten a response regarding my refund request for the days we didn’t stay at the house. I was clearly not a priority and felt they were just giving me the run-around despite having such an awful experience. I decided to go through Air BNB Support and they addressed my issue right away and issued a refund for part of our stay. We still ended up paying more for the two nights we were there but at least we were partially reimbursed and I felt that Air BNB was more empathetic and acted with a sense of urgency to ensure we were compensated for the unfortunate circumstances.”airbnb
