PORTER's guest rating of 4.79 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract.

“This is a cheap and convenient place to sleep but nothing more. You hear the highway and train noise all night. There is a trailer directly across the yard and the kids play loud music most afternoons and evenings. The cabin was so so dusty and the back yard is barren with some weeds and old plastic lawn chairs. This place has so much potential but it’s just getting by with bare minimum. The blankets had holes and the old burlap curtains were so old and dusty. With just a little effort this could be very cute. Weeds are growing everywhere-it’s obvious the cabins are neglected and no effort is made to improve them. The only good thing was the shower- good pressure and clean bathroom overall. There is an elementary school across the street.”airbnb

“Lots to love here. The Jasmine room's vintage charm & direct access to the wrap around. Check-in/out instructions were crystal clear & there was easy access to main facilities & room. A few things did made the stay a bit stressful. Tub water came out brown at first. No cups for the shared coffee machine. Check-in instructions mentioned a fridge that wasn't there. Ended up tossing a significant amount of food I'd bought specifically because of the mentioned fridge & because there was no microwave- negating the value I thought I was getting by booking here. The lack of an air conditioner didn't bother me (& was mentioned), but neighbors struggled. Finally, I returned late after a long day to discover all the parking spaces were full. The host told me to "park in a fee spot" twice before I had to send a photo to explain extent of the predicament. Finally parked in the yard feeling tired, frustrated, & unsafe. Had I known all this, I'd have paid extra elsewhere. Felt more like glamping.”airbnb

“I really wish on the check in instructions they would say where all of the thermostats are located. It was very hot for everyone the first night & that was absolutely dreadful after a full day of travel The pictures look way better online than they do in person. This place is a lot more run down than we were hoping it would be. That being said, due to medical reasons & travelling with a toddler we chose to power through & stay the full 2 weeks. The floor downstairs was very dirty and the rug in the living room was absolutely vile with all the dirt on it. Some of the appliances & dishes in the kitchen were not clean & had leftover/old food dried on. The icemaker quit working. The pillows for the beds need upgrading. Most of them are flat and hard and lumpy. The pool was very dirty. My mom had to clean the backyard for an hour and a half. The only bathtub had paint chips coming off of the tub and they’re going everywhere. Hard to bath my baby when that was the only tub available”airbnb

“Hopefully receiving requested refund due to no heat, noise from train close by, fireplace not working and very loud guests next to me. Waited 2 hours with no help and room was very cold.”airbnb

“The home was clean, well-presented, and had a lot of potential. There were plenty of cooking utensils available, and the space itself was comfortable enough for our stay. However, there were issues that impacted the experience and justify our rating. The jacuzzi was not operational for two days, eventually fixed by a technician. The propane tank was empty, and the kitchen—while well-stocked with tools—had no essentials like salt, pepper, or spices. There were also multiple maintenance concerns. The guest bathroom shower head sprayed erratically, the screen door repeatedly fell off its track, and the main house sink was badly backed up. The dryer blew a fuse during our stay, and both the washing machine and dishwasher made concerning noises while running. Additionally, the smoke detector was missing a battery, which is a safety issue. The water softener near guest room was loud at night and may disrupt sleep. This properly could easily be a 4-5 star stay with better maintenance.”airbnb

“Overall, this stay fell short of expectations due to several issues. One of the three bathrooms had extremely low water pressure and was effectively unusable, which was a significant inconvenience for our group of 8. The kitchen tap also had low pressure, and the shower knob in another bathroom was loose, indicating maintenance concerns. We had specifically booked the property to enjoy the hot tub, but due to the bathroom situation, it wasn’t practical for everyone to shower afterward, so we couldn’t use it. We also noticed exposed nails near the hot tub area, which raised safety concerns, especially with kids. Additionally, the resolution process was slow and the compensation offered did not reflect the impact of these issues. The property has potential, but better maintenance and more responsive after support would be needed to improve the overall experience.”airbnb

“Not our most pleasant rental experience with an airbnb. House was spacious and well-located but filthy. Carpets and upholstery were heavily stained, there was old food in the trash compactor when we arrived, and so many of the dishes were dirty that we had to wash everything before using it. Cheap, uncomfortable bedding and furniture. The barstool seats literally sink all the way through the frame when you sit in them. Anytime we had to contact the host, we were connected to an overseas call center. I've never stayed in a rental where I couldn't get direct help by the host or property manager. Even without the cost and fees, I expect higher quality accommodations than this. Will probably be avoiding this host in the future.”airbnb

“This was a tough stay to review because we had a great weekend outside the cabin, but the cabin itself was disappointing. The photos were very misleading. When we arrived, we realized the cabins were packed together like a neighborhood, not secluded as shown. The lockbox was difficult to open, and although the cabin looked clean at first, the dishes still had food residue on them. The shower mold issue was also not addressed. Hospitality was basically nonexistent—no kitchen towels and only a quarter roll of paper towels provided. Outside, the flower‑garden bricks were knocked over, the firepit was filled to the brim with ashes, and several of the chairs around the fire were broken. The porch also had missing flagstones that made walking unsafe. The cabin has potential but needs serious updating. I hope this helps future guests and encourages the management company to improve this “resort‑style” cabin in the pines of Williams.”airbnb

“To start... Had to sign a 7 page "rental agreement" by email. This was a rental agreement that is used for renting an apartment.. weird. We were in Sedona hiking, with limited internet.. but they wouldn't confirm the visit until signed. Check in - They give you the passcode for the room lock, but neglect to tell you that there is a separate lock on the lobby door. After about 15 minutes of peering through windows and trying to figure out what was going on, we called the property management. We found the phone number under "maintenance" in the email. Room was 54 degrees with heat off and tiny little fireplace that took about 3 hours to come up to low 60's. Lobby was in the low 50's the entire stay. Fireplace was broken. Called property manager and they said it wouldn't be fixed until "next week". Trash can in room had an empty beer can and used maxipad. NOISY! You hear everyone. Stomping, coughing, kids screaming.. it was never quiet. Able to sleep at 1A, awakened at 7. We left.”airbnb
