PlushHost's guest rating of 4.79 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract.

“I chose this property based on the listing photos, reviews, and proximity to the Museum District. I have used Airbnb since 2017 and have never encountered an issue that caused me to leave a stay early. Although my reservation began two days earlier, Ehab was aware that I checked in late and had been in the unit less than 24 hours when I raised my concerns. I promptly shared photos and videos showing what appeared to be mildew and staining in the shower, along with small hairs and debris throughout the unit, particularly in corners and along baseboards. As I was traveling with my 5-year-old daughter, cleanliness was especially important. Ehab responded promptly and offered a cleaning crew, but I did not feel that addressed the fact that the unit should have been properly cleaned before check-in. I requested a refund, which was denied. I was not comfortable staying there or having my daughter use the space. I canceled the remainder of my stay, recovered what I could under Airbnb's policy”airbnb

“The space itself was as described, but the area is very dirty, noisy, and dangerous. We had people knocking on our door loudly in the early morning during our stay for no reason at all.”airbnb

“This was a very disappointing and uncomfortable stay. The cleanliness was unacceptable—we encountered fleas in the bed and I ended up with multiple flea bites, which made the space unlivable. Basic requests were also ignored. We asked for two sets of towels, only received one, and even after following up a second time, the additional towels were never provided. Overall, the lack of cleanliness and poor responsiveness from the host made this a negative experience. Do not stay here, you'd be better off sleeping in your car.”airbnb

“🚨 FILTHY, UNSAFE, AND BORDERLINE UNINHABITABLE 🚨 This place was an absolute dump. Sticky floors, stained sheets, disgusting smell, broken furniture, and literal mucus stuck to the wall with a hair sticking out. The neighborhood was nonstop chaos from Afro Americans screaming, fighting, people checking car door handles, and gunshots nearby at night. I’ve never felt more unsafe in my life. They brought so much anxiety and fear, we HAD to EVACUATE the same day. The Afro Americans above us were literally fighting all night. The host was useless and only sent automated responses. Zero care for cleanliness, safety, or guests. This listing should be removed from Airbnb entirely. Do not stay here unless you enjoy this kind of culture. It is beyond inhabitable.”airbnb

“The place was beautiful and centrally located. Unfortunately we encountered some inconveniences with the shower head & tv. These issues seem to be a lack of awareness and/or lack of care. The host was aware that the tv didn’t work when talking with the handy man but still advertised the feature and only fixed it when i brought it up. My friend had to help the handy guy mount the tv and the shower head was rusted out and less than half of the spouts worked.”airbnb

“By far the worst AirBnB I’ve ever spent money on. I don’t like how the buildings are gated in but parking is on the street. I have no way of knowing my vehicle is safe throughout the night. Walked into the front door… it smelled old & very dirty like maybe the previous guests had a dog. Floors were filthy, walls were disgusting. Back bedroom wall still had a very recent food substance. Smeared makeup fingerprints on bathroom wall. Pillowcases had hair. Located a spider crawling across the bed. Made drinks while we changed clothes & within 10 minutes of drinks sitting on the table there were gnats in the drinks. So yes there were gnats flying around in there. The place was disgusting. The pics are soooooo far from reality of this place. There’s only like 2 windows. Beds very cheap. He wouldn’t give me a refund of course So we just left & never returned. I would have rather slept in the car. So we stayed with friends at a different location. So I say all this to say DO NOT BOOK THIS BNB!”airbnb

“This was unfortunately a very disappointing stay and not at all as advertised. First, the listing photos are extremely misleading. The space is much smaller than it appears online, and the surrounding neighborhood looks significantly different from what is implied in the photos. I would strongly recommend future guests research the area carefully before booking, as the location did not feel as safe or welcoming as expected. We experienced issues accessing the property because the lock had the wrong passcode, which caused unnecessary stress upon arrival. Additionally, the overall environment of the complex was unpleasant. Other tenants were frequently loud, smoking nearby, and creating an uncomfortable atmosphere that made it hard to relax or enjoy the stay. I do not recommend this listing.”airbnb

“I normally don’t leave negative reviews but this stay truly calls for one. Upon arrival the floors were so dirty that our socks turned black. There was hair in both the showers. The kitchen floor had large holes in it (two of them). The furniture all seemed cheap and unkept—wobbly chairs and dining table, springy and worn couch, springy mattress. Most importantly, people quite literally walked into the Airbnb on two separate occasions during my stay. They had the code and just came right in. They were coming to work on the floor potholes but this should have been much better coordinated so that my privacy was not completely infringed on.”airbnb
